How does one get back on track if they were really never really on a track to start with?

I don't know. I am so off track since the holidays. I was doing so well up until then. I was eating sugar, dairy and grain free and feeling great! I let myself indulge on the sugars of Christmas and now can't get rid of these cravings.0

Those are tough especially when you have gone so long without them, it's like once you allow them back into your body you become addicted once more and need to break yourself of it again which is extremely hard. I would say slowly start to scale back the amount of sugars you are taking in. I know that some companies make a bakers blend of splenda and sugar, or stevia and sugar which is about a 50/50 mix I had used that in the past to ween myself off of sugar.0

I don't use sugar in anything I make myself, I use bananas or another fruit if it needs to be sweetened, but if I'm around something sweet...it's hard to say no. I just don't allow myself to buy anything that might tempt me.0

I know the feeling, I am all or nothing myself, which makes it hard because I am the architect of my own demise at times, since I can bake and cook anything I desire lol. So are you able to make substitutions for when you are placed in a situation where there are going to be sweets available? Are you the type who can take a bite and walk away, or is it, once you start then look out because you will eat it all? I used to be the latter in that scenario.0

As long as I don't take a bite, I'm good. Once I try it, it's over. Recently, someone made a pie and I tried just the tiniest sliver. I did well with that, but once I got home I was so overwhelmed with cravings for sugar that I mixed together unsweetened cocoa powder, PB2, unsweetened cashew milk, bananas, blueberries and pecans... It's all pretty healthy, but not when I eat large amounts and feel so full and guilty afterwards.0
