I'm Selkey and I joined MFP to help in going vegetarian but am also using it for weight loss and to better motivate me to get into exercising on a daily basis while I'm here. I'm a trans person and I identify as polyromantic (and polyamorous) and am still kind of trying to figure out the whole sexuality or lack thereof thing in my case.
I'd love to be friends, if you have similar goals in diet and fitness especially!

That'd be so kind of you, I just recently understood properly what pansexual means, polyamorous huh I saw this docu so I think I got it, but polyromantic is like panromantic? what on the world does any of that mean??
Sorry but I'm a very old fashioned monogamous lesbian so I gotta ask cos I wanna understand all these new expressions of sexuality and love, just to know0 -
Polyromantic refers to experiencing romantic attraction to many but not all genders. Its often used when someone experiences attraction to most genders except for say one or two but not necessarily.0

There is indeed! A fair amount actually though not everyone chooses to use a label for their own. Gender's an incredibly varied thing and the concept itself can differ greatly between cultures and individuals and concept of a the binary being as established as it is is more of a result of colonialism than anything.
Clearly, there are folks who identify as females and males and that is totally legitimate but gender in general is a far more fluid, subjective, and nebulous thing than it's often taught as being and no matter how someone ends up identifying (or not identifying!) no one person will experience it in the same manner.2 -
