I have been trying to lose a little weight (as prescribed by my doctor) and I have 4.4lbs left to lose before I am at the weight my dr wanted (top of the approved weight for my height). I was wondering if anybody has had any success with Couch to 5K? I am not a runner and never have been, but the weather is so gorgeous right now that I want to get out and enjoy it and get exercise at the same time.

Hey I've never been a runner, but i was 7lbs overweight when I was diagnosed with PCOS so i wanted a training plan for follow as if i just went for a run id burn myself out within 5 minutes.
The first workout I was so hard, i could barely run those last few 1 minute runs even though i think you get a one and a half minute walk between them. Now i'm repeating week four which is 3 minute run, 2 walk; 5 run; 3 walk; 5 run; 3 walk; 3 run! i can't believe it, i'm running 5 minutes at a time! I wouldn't say the runs get easier or harder, I've found them to be consistent and move at a good pace, but its getting easier to push through. If I've found a run tough or not run for a week I tend to repeat a workout or two anyway.
I love this plan, tend to burn 200 calories a workout, do it around 3x a week usually at the gym.
Definitely recommend it, just when the time you have to run increases it can be scary but its just mind over matter.

I did it and finished it. I recommend getting an app for your phone so you can get the times. I used RunDouble. I could do it indoors or out, depending on the weather.0

I've done C25k twice now and loved it both times. After the most recent time I've kept going and now am doing a 10k training program for a race in late August. Good luck!0
