    Good Morning,
Lee, glad all went well. Hope you had a restful night and enjoyed green jello.
Bob, great news and glad DD is progressing
    Mary, when is surgery?
    Kelly, only three more days!!!
Dennis, hearing aids are not so bad; once you get them Kris will have to watch what she says about you cause you will be able to hear her.
Dave, changing church is hard; we still have not moved our membership from a church over 70 miles away.
Lisa, hope this week is going better and know you are loved.
Skip, slow down a little; body takes time to heal from surgery.
My poor DMIL, does not have strength to open a wine bottle and I have not done it for her; even though she keeps lining up wine bottles on counter.
Hope all get a GREAT HUMP in,
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

    Good Morning!

Lee, I'm glad that you came out of surgery OK. I will be keeping you in prayer today.

Bob, that is fantastic news! Prayers of praise for you today, and prayers for your daughter as she continues in chemo.

Skip, prayers for your back today, as well. Take it easy, friend!

Got the W-2s printed yesterday, so it is only up from here! Dang, but there are certain parts of the job that I just don't care for. I was telling the guys on another thread, however, that I love my job, and this is the best job that I've ever had. That's good, because I'm still about 10 years out from retirement.

    Morning BBB

Good News, Lee! Only going to get better for ya, too! And I like sf jello, esp when Im on ww'rs! Put a lil skim milk on top of it, something we did with our Gramma as kids on the strawberry or cherry flavors. Yummmy.

Bob, so glad you got good results too, and your dd is on the continued prayer list for sure!

Raine, can I stole away with you guys to FL! Blah I don't want to spend a week in Vegas.

And now I caught my co-workers cold. First one I've had in two years! boohoo, bad sore throat by 6pm last nite, so I went to bed at 7. This morning, all stuffed up, sore throat and a cough. Maybe even a fever during the night who knows. Im drinking 1000 mg of Vit C mixed in some oj now, have soup for lunch, and some cough drops and hopefully can kick this quick.

Met my surgeon, and really like her (Harvad grad if that matters LOL). We have a standing appt. for Thurs Feb 16. Its an overnight gig. 2 week recovery, but she says I could shorten that, work from home, drive once Im off the pain meds, etc. She's done many many many of these same surgeries in the last 15 years, so Im confident. I had a list of questions answered and when I asked what she thought I should do, she said she couldn't tell me that, but given my history with my Graves Disease, level of meds I flip flop on over last 18mos and still not getting the TSH normal, she was pretty confident if I walked away from this idea now, she'd likely for sure see me again. So with that, I might as well get it over this now, before spring/summer. I've asked the finance dept for a cost estimate etc., that should be interesting.

    Have a great day folks!

Mary - good luck in your decision-making! Feel better soon.... I noticed one thing missing from your plan: "Sweaty Italians...." (no, not some Guido from Philly - the drink)...... B)

    Good morning, folks.

You should punch your coworker, Mary.

Steve - that's where the bureaus actually earn their money.

I did an executive networking event on. Monday night. It was a little depressing. Imagine a room full of unemployed 50+ men listening to a presentation on organizing your job search, etc. I wasn't the youngest in the room, but I was definitely on the left side of the curve by a wide margin.

Good morning BBB friends. Busy morning.
    • Lee, I hope all is going well on the road to recovery.
    • Mary, my DW drank a nuclear cocktail years ago and now takes some sort of daily medication for thyroid issues. Good luck with your surgery.
    • Glad to hear you got some good rest Skip. Take it easy for awhile.
    • Bob, the switch to Taxol can be tough. Let's hope your DD does well. Yay for your results.
    • Lou, those networking sessions can be depressing. Most of us have been through them and there is usually light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck.
    • I want to go to Cancun with Kelly. Just sayin...

Mary, atleast put some vodka in that orange juice, when they convince me I need something done I want to get it over with ASAP.
Lou, in my 40's when between jobs I decided I needed a government job; pay not as good but benefits are great. 100% match for up to 10% of pay 401a, 80% on medical insurance including dependent cost, disability, life, 13 holidays, 10 sick days and 4 weeks vacation, being classified also gives a secure feeling. Best part is work 40 hours go home and don't think about it. I was tired of working 60+ hours a week and calls when I was at home.
Since Kelly will not take us; where are we camping in middle FL Raine? And we trust Bike Week in Dayton is included for us.

Sam - we will be in Englewood (south of Sarasota) - come on down!
Daytona is not in the plan - much to Tom's disappointment.

Never got down to Englewood. Our National eye research meetings used to be in Sarasota around Lido Key and Longboat Key. Ahhhhh good memories and some good stone crab too.

    Have fun!!

Yes. 3 days. Really 2 now. With sleeping and eating feels like hours away. Ha.
I love englewood Florida. We've vacationed in the same location a few years in a row. Love it!!
Sounds like most of us are falling apart with surgeries. I guess before long we will be eating breakfast before we go to bed!!
And off to bed I go at 9:10 pm. Ha ha

Yeah for you Kelly and Raine - for vacations!

I feel like hell as mowed me over with this cold. Today is work, leave at 3pm, do one load of laundry, pack and go to bed by 6pm. I will trek to the airport to be there around 9am Friday morning. Then back to bed in my Bally's hotel room til Sat. setup. Then back to bed until showtime Monday. Doesn't this sound grand!

Dennis, unfortunately I don't qualify for the death of thyroid by radiated iodine method, because with this I have Graves' ophthalmopathy Disease as well, in most cases this type of treatment (radiated iodine) for hyperthyroidism makes the eye disease worse. Long story short, the antibodies are attacking both the thyroid and the cells behind my eyes... since they are like cell makeup. Thankfully my eyes are not too bugged out, but I can for sure tell in pictures of me in the last year. And they are dry and irritated. I see an eye specialists as well with this crapola. Sometimes when you see people that their eyes are bugged out / protruding, its from thyroid disease. My eyes were actually one of the first symptoms I experienced, severe dry eye.... watering, burning, etc., then it went downhill from there with all the other symptoms.... I wont bore you further. :)
