After a bit of "market research" - http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10465183/anyone-think-that-the-century-cycling-name-is-a-bit-off-putting - it would seem that the name of this group is potentially putting off new riders, rather than encouraging them to join.

So - I think it's time for a change.

Possible Names:

As lots of the posts in here are "challenge" related - i.e. the "Classics Challenge" - "Winter/Summer Challenges" - "Grand Tour Challenges" - et.al. one possible name could be

"Cycling Challenges"

or, more prosaic, but maybe more all-encompasing

"Cycling, Beginners to Obsessives"


or simply

"Cycling - Advice and Inspiration"


Or better still - please - someone else who's GOOD at this marketing/branding crap, please add your ideas...

I'll probably throw up a poll over in the CycLeagues Facebook group for people to vote / add additional ideas (No, we're not going to call it "Bacon" or "Biking McBikeFace" FFS!)

    You could put 1 & 3 together into "Cycling (bikes) - advice, inspiration, and challenges"

    I like 'Cycling Challenges'; It says what it does on the tin ;)

    I agree that "Biking McBikeface" would be totally ridiculous - it should of course be Bikey McBikeface

    right folks - name changed, "CYCLING CHALLENGES" was the run-away winner in the Facebook Poll, so thats what we're going for...

    I'll change the logo's later today if I get chance - i'm kind of hoping that I'll be okay to ride the bike on the trainer today, after hurting my ribs pretty badly in yesterdays lousy weather...

    Good work -my personal cycling challenge this spring is to do the whole of the Applecross peninsula in Scotland this year. I might start a thread about that.
