Where I Run - Tue Brueggers Route

This is my typical Tuesday morning route. I snagged pictures off of google maps from both the aerial Earth view and street view.
This is an aerial view of the first couple of miles (highlited by the red line).
Here is the rest of it. Well this makes up only about 7.5 miles of it. I usually extend it out by running a couple more miles around one of the back neighborhoods, but you get the general idea.
So my group on Tuesday meets in the parking lot at Brueggers Bagels. Well, technically between Regians band and Subway. We all go out together at 5:15 AM sharp. They are sticklers about the time.
So we cross the street (Highes Rd) onto that path you see here and make an immediate right turn at the corner.
We then run down Browns Ferry Dr on that sidewalk passing the Applebees and Kroger.
Then we come to the corner and run down Plaza Blvd.
We come around back to Hughes and make a left. Even though Hughes is a busy road, it's got that neat jogging path that runs right up along it. That jogging path pretty much covers all of Hughes from Madison Blvd all the way up to University Blvd which is quite a few miles. On this route we are going maybe a third of a mile.
Till we get to Sun Temple. This leads us into one of the closed of neighborhoods.
Which leads us into Sunset Blvd which is the adjacent closed neighborhood.
At the end, we make a left onto Old Madison Pike.
Now from here I will immediately cross Old Madison Pike and go down Marion and run through that little neighborhood which brings us back out onto Old Madison Pike again in front of Dublin Park. That neighborhood has a nice little hill in it.
We will run all the way down Old Madison Pike (OMP) till we get to Highland Drive.
OMP has a sidewalk the entire part of the route, but if there is no traffic on OMP, I will run in the street against traffic near the curb. I have to be careful of cars coming out of the side streets since they don't always look to their left before pulling out.
Highland is a very long road but in a quiet neighborhood. Speed limit is 25 mph and enforced by the many speed bumbs that you can see in this picture.
Then we come to the end of Highland to Eastview Drive and make a left.
If you ran the entire Eastview Drive (which I have done a couple of times, you can get some great elevation. But we don't spend much time on Eastview Tuesday morning. Just 1 block.
Till we get to Athens Drive.
Then onto Steele.
Then to Briarwood which is a mean hill.
From Briarwood to Crestview and another short hill.
And then a right onto Ashley Dr which is the side entrance into Dublin Park.
You come out of Dublin Park back onto OMP.
And from there we run back to Brueggers Bagels where everyone finally catches up inside for some coffee and conversation before heading into work.
There is also what we call the "Downtown Route" which many people do on Tuesday mornings which is shorter and no hills. I may share that route another day. I usually run the Downtown Route on taper weeks and weeks when I am recovering from a major race.
