In the weekly Warrior Mini-Goal Challenge focus on your short term goals.

Focusing on one week at a time, when the big picture seems too overwhelming. Small changes can bring on big results!!

Choose one or more things you want to work on for just this week. Don't set it too high or unreachable!!

Please, make sure your week works for you. Sun to Sat or Mon to Sun, whatever is YOUR week!

You can reach your main goal if you break it into small actionable steps. It could be as easy as 1-2-3!

1) Choose something you know you can do easily.
2) Add more difficult tasks to your plan.
3) These small steps will get you started, motivated & help build routine for long term success!!

Anyone interested in joining us for another week, or a first week, or a get back on track week?

Check in often, have a great week and do the best you can! B)<3

Time for another chance for each of us to create some new goals or polish up our old ones and continue to work on those. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend...the weather has been so Spring like this Winter...I never know which coat to wear out.

Molly I didn't think you'd mind if I borrowed your inspirational pictures to post again this week?
Not sure why the ones I've posted the last few weeks show up fine when I create the thread and when I look later they are gone and even the code is gone when I click on quote. How odd! Hope it's only a temporarily bug or something.

Glad to be feeling better ...it felt good to workout today at the pool! You heard me right Paulette, I went to the pool again this week!

Well ladies, off to set my goals for the week!
So excited to be back with you all this week!! <3
All your kind and loving support is wonderful ...we're really quite the lovely bunch!

Hearts - so happy you hit the pool. I am going to Florida next week and they have a lovely public saline pool on the beach next to our condo. I will make it my goal to go swim twice.

But also, please can you tell me what is veg? More veggies? Or more time to vegetate, as in relax? Or? I am being curious or nosey LOL

Paulette - so nice to have you back. Looking forward to seeing you here this week.

Molly - I read the article and responded. I had a book years ago called, "does this clutter make my butt look fat?" It was hilarious and got me going. Here is an Oprah article on it...

    http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Does-This-Clutter-Make-My-Butt-Look-Fat-by-Peter-Walsh

And I also listened to "the life changing magic of tidying up" by Marie Kondo. That woman is super obsessive however I now fold my t-shirts and pants upright. She has a you tube video of this technique. I highly recommend watching it and there are a few other things about surrounding yourself with only items you LOVE and use. That is my kitchen now. For it is tiny, but very very mighty.

Okay, here are my goals for this week...

    1 / track and stay green (1/5)
2 / go to 1 workout class (1/2) - I did a "total body conditioning class" tonight and the instructor was the sweetest young man, who reminded us to breathe, think about our technique, posture and modified everything for all levels. It was way better than anticipated!!
3 / meet my daily step goal (1/4)
4 / no alcoholic beverages on weekdays (0/3)
5 / gratitude: identify how I am grateful for one non-food related thing in my life this week (0/1)

    See you tomorrow!

    Hi everyone! Happy valentine's day!!

Today my non food related gratitude, and definitely a story of love, is about my little doggy. He is a bichon poodle cross names Amadeus Tuk-tuk. I share custody of this little guy with my x-boyfriend, but he has been in our lives for almost 14 years. And what a commitment phobe I was when we were thinking of getting him...and now he is just part of our family. He has taken me on over 10,220 walks in so many different places I wouldn't have ventured on my own. I have discovered all the parks in Toronto, the waterfront, and met many people from all walks of life simply because he is playing with their dogs. I am grateful for all the exercise I have done because of him. And everyday, he forces me outside regardless of weather, to take the scenery in. Then in the evening, he rewards us with oodles of cuddles. https://goo.gl/photos/M5BpDHghGfjfmnip8

    1 / track and stay green (2/5)
2 / go to 1 workout class (1/2) - thinking I will do a pilates class on Thursday
3 / meet my daily step goal (2/4)
4 / no alcoholic beverages on weekdays (0/3)
5 / gratitude: identify how I am grateful for one non-food related thing in my life this week (1/1)

    Hello ladies,

I am very sore these past two days from the workout class I attended on Monday night! I can't believe it. It's a tad de-motivating to be hobbling around, but I'm going to cough that up to being sorely out of shape. It won't be a forever thing.

So far I have been doing well to stay in the green, but my body is not changing at all! All the same clothes still. I will have to hunker down and maybe be a bit more aggressive - I'm not sure. I also just don't want to snuff out all my motivation and eliminate all my treats!

I will be off to Florida on Saturday so will try to check in 3 times next week and keep track.
    Good luck with your goals!

    1 / track and stay green (3/5)
2 / go to 1 workout class (1/2) - tonight is my pilates class...I may not be able to make it though
3 / meet my daily step goal (3/4)
4 / no alcoholic beverages on weekdays (0/3)
5 / gratitude: identify how I am grateful for one non-food related thing in my life this week (1/1)

Hello again, one more time before I hit the road :)

Hearts - I love focusing on the veggies thing. I have been attempting to do this in a funny way. I have found if I make a salad and it's ready to go while dinner is still in the oven, lo and behold, we eat the entire salad! If I wait for everything to be ready at the same time, we eat everything BUT the salad - which goes back in the fridge! Way to go on your goals - I will be thinking of you when I hit the pool next week!

Molly - you are doing an awesome job checking in. It wouldn't be the same without you here, so keep it up! I know the de-clutter goal has been one of yours for a while. I'm wondering if you're like me, and need to make an "appointment" to get to it - otherwise it's just not that interesting to throw in on top of everything else to do. So I tackled our storage unit in this way (because we were paying $275 a month to store stuff we hadn't had a chance to sort through when we moved out of our house and into our condo!). Took me 9 months to get to it by the way...so then I did it by "appointment". First, I divided up the tasks, then I made appointments to do these tasks once a week (and that was on Saturdays after I went to a pilates class) and 4 months later, we were out of that storage unit. Come to think of it, I should continue to do this, as there is more stuff to do at home LOL! Good luck with it either way.

Forest Rose - thanks for the well wishes - I'm looking forward to seeing some sunshine and also catching up on episodes of The West Wing (which our Canadian Netflix doesn't allow us to see)...I think I will reduce my goals to three again for next week. Have a good weekend!

    1 / track and stay green (3.5/5)
2 / go to 2 workout classes (1/2) Nope - have only managed one, and still recovering from it!
3 / meet my daily step goal (4/4)
4 / no alcoholic beverages on weekdays (0/3)
5 / gratitude: identify how I am grateful for one non-food related thing in my life this week (1/1)

AWESOME!! Happy Friday!! I loved coming here today and seeing ALL of you had checked in!! Whooohoooo!! We are doing it!!

Thanks Everyone for encouraging words and encouaragement!!

Julie, The de-cluttering is daunting indeed, and I have been making progress. In January I had my cleaning girl help me get a lot of stuff in order. I am off Monday and she is coming over again for 2 hours to help me organize. It is a slow process but I am taking it one day at a time. And today we discussed the info I sent you all. Amazing how WW also notes and realizes that decluttering is also part of a healthy lifestyle. Another part of beyond the scale.
Thanks for ideas too!! This is just confirming that my goals are on point phyically, mentally and spiritually.

Well I lost 1.6 pounds today at WW and that took me to 10.2 pounds and 2 months free!! I am so excited. The weight is coming off slower than I would like but that is on me. But I am not complaining at all. If I continue at this rate that is 60 pounds a year and honey I will take it for sure.

It was interesting to see that WW classes are getting bigger vs smaller. Ususally around this time people have dropped off - like at the gym and beginning of year. Today it was packed and as a group we lost over 80 pounds!! I am loving the energy of leader and the group. So glad I decided to leave Tops because the energy was lathrogic and negative at times. Ok sorry if too much WW talk but I am sooo excited because I am finally consistently losing weight and it has been a while since I have consistently lost weight in 8 weeks time.

And it a combo of WW, MFP pals and ALL OF YOU!! Thanks for being wonderful, consistent and dedicated pals.

Have wonderful weekend! The weather here is phonomenal for this time of year for sure! 50 to 60 degrees is unheard of here in Chicago in February! lol
