So I mentioned that I'm adding pull-ups to the end of my routine for the next cycle. Doing three consecutive pull-ups is a goal I set for myself earlier this year.

This afternoon my partner installed our old pull-up bar. t's been sitting in the closet unused for probably a couple of years, and I never did anything with it before other than look at it with tremendous suspicion and a certainty that I'd never be able to do so much as a single rep on that thing.

After she finished putting it up, I looked at it and thought, "oh, why the hell not?", and tried to do a chin-up.

Correction: I FREAKING DID A CHIN UP.

I got halfway up, was so shocked that my brain momentarily went "AAK. NO. CAN'T" and I almost dropped back down. But then I realized that I COULD. And DID. All the way up so my chin was well over the bar.

I was completely stunned. I still am. About a minute later I tried to repeat the process and was able to do another. I didn't push for three because I have a heavy lifting day tomorrow...

BUT GUYS.

SO EXCITED.
