Who's on board?

For me personally, I've been creeping ever closer to my high weight. I'm up 12 lbs since Thanksgiving! My knees are starting to ache going down the stairs, I'm huffing and puffing going up the stairs. We've got a family project of getting rid of the weed jungle in the back yard, and when my husband said, "You can help." I about had heart failure. At least he suggested I can rake. I can do that. Does that count as exercise for an obese person? He wants us to do it 20 minutes a day until it's done.

That all being said, I'm going to do my best to get back on the wagon, log and be accountable. I'm also going to do my absolute best to stay out of the regular soda. I've got my Sprite Zero back in the fridge now. I'm drinking my Atkins Chocolate Royale shake with milk for breakfast. I love them...don't know why I stop to begin with.

    Good morning! I'm on board this week! I'm going to make it to the gym tonight and get back at the weights.. so looking forward to it. I'm still shooting for my lower cal goals and meeting macros. Here's to an accountable week and weightlifting again!!! :smiley:

    @kerryatoon did you do your weights?

    I had a successful day. Met all my macros except fat by a couple. NO SODA!!! woot woot! It was pretty hard to do. Not just the soda, but eating within the goals as well. I'm not used to this at all! I hope I can keep up the momentum and carry this forward each day. Heck, just each meal!!

    Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow. Where has everyone been? It's been super quiet around here.

    On board! Trying to make it to spin this am. And will have to decide what to do with all the cookies left from a little Oscars party I had on Sunday!!! Those are hard, I love sweets.... I might have to do the unthinkable and throw them away, as in chuck them in the bin!!!!!
    I had a bad allergic reaction to my allergy shot last Thursday, I think my body is complaining about the histamines I'm shooting into my body and I'm constantly feeling like I'm about to catch a cold. I'm going in for a shot today and I'll see what the nurse says.
    Here's to shaking off the cobwebs and get the ladies shaken out of our systems!!!! Whoot whoot!

    @nadiamayl did you make it to spin? What did you decide to do about the cookies? How did your shot go today?

    I'm having a 2nd fantastic day. Finishing the day a little under cal, doing great on carbs. A little low on fiber and protein, but I'm ok with that. My main focus is cal and carbs. Over on fat today because my dinner had kielbasa in it and that's loaded with fat. I'd have been under without that. All is well. 2nd day with soda in check. What makes this whole diet thing especially difficult for me is that I'm going through a very bad depressive bipolar swing right now. There's not much I can do about it besides ride out the storm. But since I'm an emotional eater, it's tough. I'm going to do my best to be conscious and fully aware of all my food choices. On the bright side, in just 2 days of no soda I'm down 2.5 lbs. Does soda make you retain water? I think the caffeine does? Well, whatever the 2.5 lbs consisted of, I'm no longer carrying it. yea!

    Way to go @AZLisaLou !! One of my closest friends also struggles with bipolar disorder and the swings can be soooo exhausting and difficult to navigate. She also suffers from an eating disorder (younger, she had bullemia), and body dysmorphic disorder! I hope you have a good support system who helps you, is there for you, without Judgement! Oh and to answer your question, YES soda will make you retain water, but not due to caffeine (that's actually a diuretic), the amount of sodium on sida is what does it, plus the chemicals! Stay strong! :)
    I haven't thrown out the cookies, but didn't eat any. Ridiculous start of the morning with police scouting out my hood for a dumb-dumb who was rummaging through people's cars and then attempted to break into people's homes... k-9s, choppers, a big show... just 4 blocks from my home!! So, that delayed my start a bit! Didn't make it to spin either, I didn't realize today's class was strength and spin, so spinning while doing armbands (I.Hate.It), hehehe, plus the allergy shots have my arms all bruised up, I couldn't have armbands rubbing against bicep/triceps area. Allergy shots have been tough again today, so I have to make an appointment with allergist tomorrow. Aaaannnnddd of course, I got my period today, with mean cramps!
    Bbbuuttt, I stopped by walmart and got ingredients for healthy food. Made my homemade chicken stand veggie soup, and a picadillo that turned out really yummy. Allergy shots kicked me out after lunch. But ate healthy and drank enough water!
    Hoping tomorrow comes with less pain!

    @nadiamayl, what is a picadillo? I could Google it, but I much prefer conversation. :) Sorry to hear you're having a hard time with your allergy shots. I hope a specialist can help you better.

    I'm doing really well with my diet! I'm pretty excited about sticking to my eating plan despite my circumstances. If I stick to plan today, then All my macros will be awesome, except for fats which will be 4g over. That's not horrible, right? I'm most excited about my cals and carbs. I'll actually be pretty far under both by the end of the day. woot! woot!

    Will be a stressful afternoon. Have to pick the kids up at 1:30, get Sara home, let Matthew have a bathroom break and quick back in the car to get him to a dentist appointment at 2:00. 1/2 hour isn't much time. Plus, it's a new dentist so there will be lots of paperwork. ick. I'm going to go back to bed. I slept terrible last night. My psych wants me to get a sleep study done for apnea. Waste of time, because yes I do have sleep apnea. I stop breathing all the time and keep waking up, plus occasional snoring. So, I wake up in the morning still exhausted from my lack of good sleep the night before. I sleep sounder in the daytime for some reason.

    Wellllll, I blew my day. The plan I made this morning didn't happen for lunch or dinner. Lunch ended up being 2 granola bars and 9 crackers which clocked in a 368 calories. oy. After dinner I had chocolate chip cookie dough. :(

    Dinner was good though. I made meatloaf in my Instant Pot and it was very tasty. Home made yukon gold mashed potatoes, gravy and mixed veggies. I measured out my potatoes, but I may have had a few more bites as I was cleaning up. Maybe :/ All my macros are shot today. But, I got the cookie dough out of my system. Hopefully I can avoid any more. If I hadn't had the cookie dough, I'd have still been over cals and carbs by a little.

    On to a great day tomorrow. A little cookie dough isn't going to break my resolve this time.

    My diligence with not drinking soda and watching the calories is paying off. I lost 3 lbs this week.

    My week's been totally off. Hormones and allergy shots kicked my booty and couldn't get to the gym, except for one time this week!!! I am living in a haze. Hehehe
    But on to the next day when eventually I feel up to it again!!
    Where's everyone else gone to???!!! Are you ladies hiding?? ;)
