July 22nd Commitment:
-Drink 12 glasses of water
-Stay within my 1,000 calorie deficit
-12,000 Steps
-40 lunges at lunch
-Walk for 30 minutes at lunch time
-Walk 1 mile during work
-Walk 1 mile after work0 -
I'm trying to give up the morning iced coffee...it's about 80 calories I don't need in my life every day. If I make it through the work week without one (which is HARD because we have a Starbucks in our building!), I'm going to treat myself on Friday morning. So, I'll be drinking plenty of extra water to keep my mind off of it0

This morning I ran 2.5 miles up and down hills, because in case getting up early on a Monday morning to run isn't awful enough my trainer wanted me to run hills today. It was physically the hardest run I've ever done (route + distance + time) and mentally I had to psych myself up a couple of times ("I can't do this. Yes I can. No I can't. Well you should at least try.") but it was really a great feeling of satisfaction when I was done. Tonight I have a trainer session.
Food today is going to be a disaster. There's a Chinese restaurant in town that everyone at work loves and they're closing this week, so my boss decided to order in lunch for everyone from there. I haven't let myself eat anything "bad" since the beginning of May, so I've decided today I'm going to eat the high-fat, high sodium food and I'm going to enjoy it. That's not going to lead to a good weigh-in tonight, but I'm going to be okay with that.0 -
Six hours after lunch I'm just starting to get hungry again. I did not use moderation. Truthfully I probably ate less than I would have six months ago, but I'm not used to eating that much anymore and after 10 weeks of clean eating ("clean" meaning just following my own plan; not "clean" as it's used on MFP of only whole foods) I'm not used to that much fat or sodium. But I enjoyed the moment.0

Gym this morning. Strength training and I eeked out just 20 minutes of cardio. It was so humid in the gym it just felt blech! But, I did something!
I've had a pair of old shorts that I've been trying on every week or so. They were so tight as in 'I could barely get them over my hips'. Then, after a while, I got them up, but couldn't zip them. Today, I'm wearing them and they are comfortable! Whoopie!
So happy to have a new item in my summer wardrobe. I haven't bought any new clothes since I started MFP. Just making due with what is in my closet. I'm planning to do some shopping this Fall.0 -

BEST. FEELING. EVER. (having the shorts fit...not the sweaty gym)0
