Bicycle Commuters: I need to vent about my locker room!

I feel the need to do some 1st-world style venting here. My workplace has small locker room with a shower in it for cyclists, a requirement LEED-certified buildings. Being able to bike to work was a requirement when I was looking for a job, so I feel pretty lucky that I found a workplace that has a place to change. A lot of co-workers who bike to work in different buildings don’t have it as nice as I do. This morning management took the towel rack away that an employee brought in 15 years ago (I live in Seattle- wet clothing is an everyday thing for bike commuters!). This happened after I pointed out that my request to add hooks in the room was responded with by lowering the existing hooks to 30” above the floor, so our jackets hit the ground. I’m trying not to take it personally, but I feel like my efforts to improve the space have only made things worse for everyone and I’m just feeling bad about it. We were in desperate need for more places to hang things to dry, I asked, and now there are far less.
