Wanted: Music player for Zombies, Run!

After trying a few times to run in the mornings in broad daylight I have realized how incredibly boring it is to run without music. In the evenings when it's dark out, being able to hear my surroundings is a matter of basic personal safety, but in the mornings... booooring.

ZR's support page said Winamp works with the app, so I installed that on my phone, then installed it to my computer. So far, so good. I then went on to try and import my music library into Winamp and this is where things went very bad. After watching the blasted thing crash every single time I tried to import my music, I gave up. Winamp won't work.

What else do the rest of you use, that works well with Zombies, Run? (And don't say iTunes! If I wanted to use that I'd be on an iPhone.)

I just make a playlist on my phone & then have ZR use that playlist. No need for Winamp or anything else.

Me too. I just put my music on my phone and create a playlist using Power Amp, which is a player I put on my phone a while back. There is already something on your phone though... google play or whatever.

Once you make the playlist, just tap on 'music' in the ZR mission and tap the playlist you made.
Make sur eyou use the ZR app to play the music though. If you use a different app ZR can't control the volume level of the music and you won't hear all the talking bits.

That's one of the things I definitely want to avoid! I want to hear the story!

Using the music app on my phone would probably work just fine, now that I think about it. I was hoping for something that could sync with my PC mainly because I have a lot of music, and it would have been nice to use the computer to organize it all and then just sync with the phone as needed. I will experiment a littkle more nad see what I find out.

    Thanks!

What do you use for your music on the PC? I know you said you don't use iTunes.
I can probably tell you an easy way to sync if I know what you're using.

I have used 2 different phones with 2 different pre-installed generic music apps and they both worked just fine. Just make sure you create a playlist first. Zombies, Run! only recognizes the playlist in the app. (It will also recognize spotify, an app similar to pandora but lets you make playlists, etc, but they charge a monthly fee so I don't use them.)

It's a new system, nothing has been set up on it yet. In the past I've been using MediaMonkey to manage my music collection.

Most of the time though, I use Pandora and Spotify. Which means that according to degan, I am set. I will test out Spotify.

Android Music App works great, I found the only time it crashes is Zombie Run or Zombe 5k's fault.
You can sync your pc's applications to it very easily and import and export playlists
