Need something different...

I live in SoCal and I go to LA Fitness gym. Well, the past few weeks, every. time. I. go, its super crowded. There are only 3 or 4 barbell racks and I hate standing around waiting for one to open up. I can only go either at night or in the morning when the childcare is open (I have 3 young kids). Its really frustrating! Ive falled behind on my SL because I just cant get a rack to do it on. The bench bars and such are usually open when I need it, so I can still do bench presses.
So does anyone have any other recommendations for a good strength building program that I can use dumbells maybe? Or a few of the gyms? I know its not the same but for "squats" Ive been leg pressing 300lbs to keep my leg strength up.

You might look in to Nia Shank's Beautiful Badass programs - I know she has several dumbbell workouts, as well as lots of other stuff that would be plenty challenging and not include the racks. . .0

Are you able to check out other gyms? A rec center maybe?0

No. Its the cheapest gym around and cant afford more. Plus, I need a gym with childcare.
Ill check out Nina Shanks, thanks.0 -

The only thing I can suggest to you is look on craigslist for a bench with a squat rack and weights. I found a 300lb weight set and a bench for $250 dollars and it all fits nicely in my apartment bedroom.0

I actually have beauty scars on my shins from deadlifting. I'll only pull up my socks if I broke the skin.0

Definitely see if you can get something to get going at home - thats what I do - all the council gyms near me, have running machine, after running machine and 1 or 2 sets of weights!!!0
