Hi, I've just joined the group in hope they there are people out there who can give me some advice on where to go next with my chronic pain issues as well as finding some support from people who do understand what it is like before I totally lose my mind. Already having to get a referal to a psychologist as my head is so muddle up and I'm not even sure if my so called fiance is being all thst helpful or it could be me for all I know right now.. Anyway I digress. I will ask in more detail if I find that anyone is active in the group still as it seems a few months since anything has been posted.

It is difficult to get to the correct diagnosis of any chronic pain condition. Your head may be muddled because you are in distress about not knowing what is going on or it could be brain fog, a symptom of fibromyalgia. You will have to go through a process of elimination, testing for possibles, like RA or Lyme. You have to work the diagnoses or lack of positive results and figure out exactly what is ailing you. Ironically, a psych eval may get you on antidepressants, of which some are indicated in the the treatment of fibro. If they help you, though, you might attribute your symptoms to depression, which they may be, but it could also be fibro. You should probably see a rheumatologist. They can be a great help in diagnosing several ailments.0

I do suffer with depression anyway but yeah I have had fibro myalgia suggested to me by a few people to get checked for which I am going to talk. To GP about doing ASAP alongside getting off the opiate based pain meds ASAP though that's going to be even slower.0

I know it's been a while, but if you are still on MFP how are you doing? Were you able to wean off of opiates?0

It looks as if she has not been back since the 15th of July. I'm hoping she is ok but we may never know. I hope she comes back one day.0
