DAY 6:

"I am OK!" This is something I have been telling myself for the past 2 days. I allowed myself my pity party and now I have to just say I AM OK. It is how it is, make the most of it Mari. You've got this.

So, as you all know I had a bit of a gain last week (5.2 lbs.) as I was on Easter break and visiting the in-laws and TOTALLY not paying attention to my intake. Plus 1 or 2 Easter eggs got shoved into my mouth....by me. Today I am 4.6 lbs. down since then. Not all of it is gone yet (keep in mind its TOM) and that ok. I did the best I could this week and it shows. The boys are finally back in school on Monday so I get to go back to the Gym. I am going to continue following the goals I had for myself this week into next week as they seem to have worked great. I want to thank you all for the overwhelming amount of support you showed me the past 2 days. I was so completely down and disappointed and all of your kind words and wisdom have helped me pull myself out of it. Thank you for all your posts and private messages. You are such an amazing group of friends! I couldn't do it without you all. Much love to each of you.

@fitphoenix - Its not easy when we are surrounded by snacks. Especially unexpected ones that we didn't put there ourselves. Good job making it all fit in your day!

@debbieinca - Yay let us know what yummy stuff you find at the farmers market.

@TerriRichardson112 - Happy Belated Birthday and sorry about your knees. I am happy you are feeling a little better now. I hope you find a good accurate scale. When I changed scales I found my new one was 5 lbs. higher than my old one and I was very upset about this lol. everyone once in awhile I jump on my old one and pretend I've lost 5 lbs.

MY GOALS:

- COMPLETE 5 WALKS THIS WEEK (INDOOR OR OUTDOOR)
4/5 WALKS COMPLETED
- DRINK ATLEAST 3 LITERS OF WATER 7/7 DAYS
4/7 DAYS COMPLETED
- NO CARBS FOR DINNER 5/7 DAYS
4/5 DAYS COMPLETED
- EAT VEGGIES AT EVERY MEAL 5/7 DAYS
5/7 DAYS COMPLETED
- LOG EVERYTHING IN MY DIARY 7/7 DAYS (THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY)
5/7 DAYS COMPLETED

@mari_moulin a great big WOO HOO for the weight lose great job!!!

I am exhausted this morning after work I need to get grandma pants that will work with rehab. She has 2 pairs I gave her but that means my mom doing laundry daily. I will go out and find 2 more pair of pants. High waisted elastic waist with pockets and with a decent leg so it won't bother her incision. My mom made fun of those pants I gave her as they had a racing stripe down the leg. Now she's like I need you to go find grandma more pants. Hopefully I can find something at my first stop.

    Have a great day everyone!!

Sigh. I pressed the "done" at the top of the page instead of the bottom of the page and lost my whole, long comment instead of posting it.

Let's see what I can remember:

@mari_moulin, what a great loss! Nearly getting back to your pre-Easter weight in one week tells me that it was mostly water weight and comes pretty close to being a week of maintaining rather than loss. I feel like if I can work the weight off in a week, it's a totally acceptable indulgence for special occasions. (It might be different once I'm maintaining, we'll see.) Of course, I've got to make sure I don't do it all the time, but for a week here and there, I'm good with it!

You are definitely OK! I think it's so important to focus on the positive as much as we can because in reality, we usually have way more to be thankful for than not, but the negative things often stick out more.

I have a friend who has all sorts of positive adjectives on strips of paper in a jar, and she pulls one out per day and needs to figure out how she has achieved this. For example, she pulled "selfless" last week, and it took her a while to work out how she embodied this: but she helped out a coworker (while she was off for Easter, in fact) to succeed at a proposal that was given to the coworker instead of my friend, putting aside her own feelings and desires because she felt it was the right thing to do. It can just be really helpful to make us think about ourselves in different ways and find those good things that we don't always think about.

@2020pinktogo, I hope that the pants quest goes smoothly, and your grandmother recovers quickly! Nothing wrong with racing stripes, lol.

@carlsoda, great loss! Hope you get running around accomplished along with that driving for a secretly active day. ;)

    Happy Earth Day, everyone!

    Good morning stars!!!

@fitphoenix you have a good head on your shoulders! I'm truly grateful to have you with us because we all benefit from your positive energy!

Yesterday started out mellow but it got busy and wild towards the end. Yes, I ended up training just shy of midnight but I made all the goals.

Today is the 5th day since the Easter feast and things look promising weight wise. The goals for today are to eat sensibly within calories/macros, do my chin-ups, hit the steps, water and good sleep. We are likely to go roller skating and that means lots of fun.

    Let's have a fabulous Saturday!!!
