Another way that I have heard this statement expressed is, "For most people success is just around the corner. Unfortunately, most people quit before the corner."
In the UAC, we are working together to create and model good habits of tracking our intake; respecting our daily limit of calories; intentionally exercising at least 20 minutes per day; and caring and sharing with each other.
Have a great Saturday!!

Today is day one on tackle the garage. I have to admit I thought the Briggs test was a hoot. Especially when my big name was nurturer and said my possible jobs banker or book keeper. It hit the nail right on the head.
I am back to using the kindle again. The laptop was acting all wonky I took it over to my daughter and her boyfriend. My great technical terms do hingy I guess he has never seen anyone crash Windows. Now he has seen it. I use the computer for mfp, mail and dvds. He looked at my history and goes to my daughter. I have no clue why it would do this she doesn't do anything. I think it's more where it is and the weather I am going to have to move the office around my last computer got fried and now this.
Time to eat and get my fanny moving2 -
Rick, your quote today is along the same lines as one that I try to remember when losing weight. "Failure cannot live with perseverance."
On track today although wet here almost all day so instead of a run I started the day with a warm up on the exercise bike followed by 50 minutes of bodyweight strength. Managed to get outside for a bit of weeding late in the day but only managed an hour before it was too dark. Final exercise was unplanned as I wanted to watch a late rugby game on TV but knew the likelihood of falling asleep while sat on the couch so did 60 minutes at a very easy pace on the exercise bike while watching part of the game. A win win as I stayed awake and burnt some extra calories.
Tracking and calories both good.5 -

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5km in 46 minutes (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Felt like I was going slow, but MapMyWalk showed different. Maybe I am getting stronger.

So my dad stayed clear of the crime scene LOL. My mom kept saying I think I need this I would say ok put it in the think box and get back to it. Little by little she got rid of the think box. I was so proud of her.
Tomorrow we tackle the travel albums and crap along with pots and pans . My grandmother actually had a lace table cloth I thought had colored flowers on it. Nope flamingos dancers. Never used I am guessing an impulse buy on one of those trips. Amvets will love it.
Plus I convinced my parents to sell a garden bench. I had my dad help me lug it out of the house put a sign on it and got it sold in an hour. WOO HOO!!!! Tomorrow we put something else out for sale. I think when my sister said she would get a dumpster my parents are rethinking things now. I said to them live your life keep things you love but if you are living with stuff just because someone may want it someday ask us and then rethink the game plan.
My mom is feeling guilty the few things I wanted are not to be found. I have moved on and could care less. This bothers her even more I don't know to me they are just things life goes on.
Well now it's time for me to get some chores done at my house so I can return to mom's tomorrow.I would love to complete everything tomorrow and have Mon for myself. I feel like I'm pushing them too hard So I try to take my cues from them. Plus an extra day isn't the end of the world.Have a great night everyone!!

Thanks @RangerRickL for sharing "Just keep on going and you will be successful". A good day today. Lots of exercise; 75 minutes of pickle ball and a 60 minute brisk walk with a friend. Tracking.3

Took the Meyers Briggs test. I am a ISFJ-T which means my personality type is defender (we are born not just for ourselves). I think that is exactly who I am. Very interesting.1

exercise ???
Exercise. Here I sit thinking about making up stories. I got out of bed and I went outside, pulled some weeds, went to Walmart.
20 minutes of exercise? Well that is a stretch kind of.
Today, Memorial Saturday, for the last 12 or so years has been Iron Horse Bicycle Classic for me. So this is the first one I have missed in that long. That would have been good exercise. That is climbing all of the mountain passes between Durango and Silverton.
Why didn't I do it? Ostensibly because they don't give a trophy t-shirt any more. Last time they gave me this stupid copper mug.
Hey, a copper mug, I can't wear it like bragging rights to the gym or to a coffee shop. I almost threw my copper mug in the river as I was walking to my car.
Either that or I am getting old and I just found an excuse to not race them youngsters to Silverton. Ugh, whippersnappers.
Last year they were razzing me and ridiculing me for riding my 30 pound mountain bike instead of a super slick $10,000 feather weight racing bike like they were sporting.
But hey I pulled into Silverton not all that far behind them. They didn't have time to quaff a pitcher of beer before I got to town. Actually they seen me come in.
Sour grapes, sour grapes, sour grapes. Reality is me and my knees, I think, are too old for that game now. So I am going to put that in a memory file called "the older I get the better I was."
Exercise, Oh, where was I? Hey I exercised pretty hard yesterday. Surely I can carry some of those points forward. Nope. That don't work if I ate it all back.
Tomorrow I am scheduled to hit the Orange Theory Fitness class. Those are pretty good. They make me do sit ups and jumping jacks and burpees. But when they aren't looking I sneak and get back on the spin bike. I think I will collect a heart rate trace of it just to scratch my head over.
Hope you guys are in good and improving health and having fun!1 -
A wedding day activity with friends: Amazingly, I had no problem with calories. They served these tiny little light-things. Two tablespoons of creme brulle won't destroy a calorie budget.
Calories: under by 308
Exercise: lots of farm walking and chores
Tracking: ok1 -

yes x 3.
Had a big party at my house. Worked out in the am to store up calories to use, planned what I was going to eat, but also told myself it was ok to go over some. When I tracked it all, I actually made it under, not by much, but I did. Thanks to you all for helping me to be accountable to what I am eating and not just mindlessly much away during the party.
BTW, the party was a blast! I bought a piñata for decoration and my 15 year old said we had to fill it with candy, even though all were preteens to adults. We did and he pulled out a halloween zebra mask that you can barely see out of for people to wear during their turn. Since it was dark out and the kids rigged up the pull line, the adults were quite the site during their turns. Anyway, always fun to hang out with friends.1 -
