What is everyone's weekend plans? Prom weekend here and going to ds1 to start unloading his apt. Tonight is dinner with friends who have daughters and now 1 son on the way.

Its a good day to be a duck here. Up early to do laundry; grade exams; and prepare for the day..... WE begin cooking the pig around 2p today....we got most of our Derby decorations setup last night. Thank goodness, my entire seersucker outfit arrived last night to include a feather fedora. I'm gonna look great even if we don't have a big turnout for our party tomorrow!
Mary - hope you enjoy the party with SO!
Cortisone shots just make me wince when I hear it now - bad memories of those needles every month before I did foot surgery a few years ago.
Dennis - how was the reunion for you and Emma?

Tis also cinco de mayo, a day of justified bar hopping and drinking with no real meaning. I'm gain, believe DMIL started earlier in week; may just leave it up to her.
Kids and grandkids this weekend.
Temps not expected to get out of 50's today, very cold for Georgia this time of year.
Kelly, hope shot helps where you have a GREAT vacation in sunny Florida.
I assume the pig is roasting in the pit, VFW in DC is really going to miss you.

Mom is doing fine. Thank you for asking. We don't know anything more, other than that she will have a valve replacement sometime this summer. Perhaps also a pace maker?
Kelly, glad that you are getting a shot, not surgery. Try Gentleman Jack, as it will help your knee be smoother.
I never used to drink much, but we gave up drinking to honor our children killed by the drunk driver. There are times, however, when a cold beer, or a Gentleman Jack sounds good. Kinda like I quit smoking in 1999, but a smoke sometimes sounds good 18 years later!

I was up WAY too late last night, and am exhausted right now. Luckily my Friday morning Skype call with my best friend in NC was delayed a bit today, but I still wish I were sleeping. A nap is in my future hopefully!0 -

- Emma is under the weather. Acting very lethargic. The girl is getting old.
- No big plans for the weekend here. I have a couple of cars that need more than a quick wash.

Yesterday was the big work going away party. Captain Morgan shots began at 10:30 and margaritas for lunch.
Then we had just out team at the bosses house for a BBQ. Ready for the weekend but it is just as full.0 -
•Thanks Sam. DD is doing great and we too are in the 50s today after reaching 85° and 86°F out of nowhere on Wed and Thur.
•Yes DD is moving a bit but it will be a long time and PT to get away fron the "T-rex" stuff. She is doing darn well though.

•Nice honoring of your kids Steve for sure.
