Hi there, just want to see if anyone is interested in starting a Facebook Group for the MRC. Leave a reply here if you're interested. If we have enough people, I'll go ahead and start it, and post the link here.

I'd join such a group to see what it's like. Whether I end up participating a lot will depend on how the conversations go. I'm always finding myself short of time to do as much online social stuff as I might like; but I do manage to find time to run.0

Same here. I do like our conversation thread here, but a FB group might be cool too.0 -

Sorry, @RespectTheKitty I didn't see this thread before I started the group!
I created it as a secret group, for privacy's sake. I've added several MFP MRC Facebook friends to it.
People can only be added by members of the FB group. PM me for more information.1 -

yup. I'm a member of it. @Orphia got it going. it's a closed group though, so you'd have to go to her for an invite I think... I'm not facebook genius.1 -

I would like to join as well.0

I'm in a bit of a dilemma.
I'm not sure I want to keep adding people as friends (which allows me to add them to the secret group).
So do I make the group closed or even public?
A closed group means other people can see the group member list (but not posts) and can request to join via a link.
A public group means members and posts are both visible to outsiders.
How do the current members feel about this?0 -
The current members have replied, and the group is now closed, not secret.
You can now apply to the group via this link:

Note for prospective new members: You'll want to be sure @Orphia can connect your Facebook identity to your MFP identity. That will make her task as FB group admin a bit easier.0 -

To people I didn't add as friends earlier when I was using that system, please don't be offended!
I just didn't have time for all the PMs and explanations.
