I couldn't believe my ears! :noway: We were just eating lunch and my husband said he was going to start lifting too. What? I kept asking him if he would do this with me and he kept saying no, he just wanted to keep doing his cardio. (My son and I have both been enjoying weight lifting, although our son isn't doing any particular program.) He said now that we have all the equipment here, he wants to start too. I'm glad he's joining me, just surprised. Maybe he will get all buff!! Now if I can just get him to join MFP and start tracking calories and macros...

That is great! What a fantastic thing to do together. I am kind of hoping my hubby will do the same - he doesn't mind spotting me at all and once in a while during my rest times he will do a little lifting, but that's about it. Maybe, in time!
How are you liking your power cage?0 -

Its great that your hubby doesn't mind spotting you!
I've only used it once but loved the convenience of being able to do it at home alone.0 -
Something about boys and new toys.
My cage is in transit now... Should be here early next week, but somehow I doubt my wife will find it a temptation!0 -

I guess so! lol Did you get the PowerLine? You never know, she may surprise you...my hubby kept saying he didn't want to lift. I guess he has noticed how much Austin and I enjoy it...not to mention all the extra food I'm eating now.0 -

Yeah, I went with the PowerLine. I watched the price drop around $25 or so over the past few weeks & decided to pull the trigger.
I think my wife would be okay with doing some lifting, but she's had a year of back issues, knee surgery, and then had a herniated disc repair about a month ago to boot... So she should be ready for physical therapy in another 4 weeks or so, and we'll see what the docs recommend. I would imagine anything requiring a squat rack to be a somewhat far-future goal for now. ;-)0 -
