I lost my first toenail today! Is it wrong to be excited about this?!

No - I lost my first one a couple months ago, and felt like a real runner!!

LOL Welcome to the funky toe club. Invest in some hardcore nail polish that stays on skin and you can fake it still being there, that's what I do at least, haha. It's not wrong at all to be excited, as it most likely means you're hitting up higher mileage work and that's a proud feeling!

Congrats! I think... I've lost several, but always on the 2nd toe on each foot. Strange.

Congrats! I had one turn half-black last month but never lost it. One of these days I'm sure it will happen to me.

I never lose toenails, they just turn black on me. One point last summer, at peek mileage, I was at 7/10 for black toenails.

As long as you don't post pictures. Occasionally my local running group does this and it totally grosses me out (4 black toenails right now btw).

Ha! I did post a picture... I had to commemorate!! it wasn't gross or anything and since, I've had the second toe on the other foot follow suit. Those were the only ones that went black. Thankfully with the toenail polish, you can't tell =)
