Wow! I am first to post this morning! I hope you are all enjoying a beautiful relaxing Sunday!
I am relaxing today. I told DH that I needed the day off. My body was in pain, my hand swollen and very sore. I have been in a funk caused by pain before & I never want that to happen again.
My only goal for today is to relax. To enjoy the beautiful weather. I will read a book, sitting beside my pond & really do nothing. I will eat properly, I may nap, I am just going to take care of me. I have to drive my daughter to a dance rehearsal, but I will enjoy the drive along the river & maybe stop for a walk at a park on my way home. Today, everything can wait...
We have all been struggling. I hope everyone can take some well deserved "me" time in the next week, whatever relaxing looks like for you.

Good morning flowers!!!
@lpeltenburg good on you for giving yourself some much deserved relaxation!!! I think this is one of the greatest benefits from the journey: we track things and we lead to know ourselves so well that we know when to hit the pause button.
Yesterday was so much fun. A true Summer like day, out at the carnival, going on rides and having a blast. I didn't eat any junk carnival food so that was a success. Once we got home we realized we overdid it.... being in the sun for long hours for the first time this year left us exhausted and hungry. The day was great but the night feasting was pretty ugly calories wise.
I'm quickly moving on since I haven't had such a high calorie day since Easter.
Today's goals are to have a normal Sunday with appropriate calories/macros, chin-ups, steps, water and good rest for the week ahead.
Let's have a fabulous Sunday!!!0 -
Morning,
@danelutza19 and @lpeltenburg good sounds like you both are enjoying the sunshine! I love this time of the year!!!!
My daughter and I had a blast at the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert. Plus at the end of the concert we ended up stopping at McDonald's for a snack. The grilled chicken sandwich and parfait wasn't bad but it did put me over for the day. So like @danelutza19 it's time to move on.
So today my plan is to get a good morning workout, plan for this coming week my workouts and meals get a goood yoga session in tonight. Tomorrow I'm planning on going to my daughter's to visit her and my grandkids, so no workout for tomorrow!
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!0 -
@GrandmaJackie, glad you and your daughter had a great concert experience! Sounds like your choices at McDonald's were pretty good overall, and getting back to it afterwards is really all that matters.
@danelutza19, that sounds like a great summer day! I'm sure the snacking won't set you back for too long. yOu have the right mindset for getting back into the swing of things today.
@lpeltenburg, it definitely sounds like you need a rest day! Good job on listening to your body and taking it easy today. Enjoy yourself.
I ran my first 5K race since 2011 yesterday. Finished four seconds slower than that first race. Given that I hadn't run in a week and it was quite warm and humid, I'm happy with those results. I'm going to keep training and hopefully run a few faster races later in the summer/fall!
Today is a proper rest day for me, recovering from the running and getting geared up for the new work week. I'm going to watch the latest episode of Doctor Who and really just take it easy.0
