Just looking to see where I am. We hit 106 today.. just zaps your energy. AZ is in a excessive heat wave. Hoping to get my last few miles in tonight under the AC.1 -
I am not sure what to do about training the next 4 days. We are going from temps 60/70 degrees to 95/101 degrees. I guess maybe get up with the dawn patrol and ride before breaky. I don't have the option of indoor trainer anymore
06/22 - 21.0 miles cycling (took it easy on myself, took the MTB out, a more comfortable ride)
Total: 393.0 miles

Oh well. @clepant I'm with you, if it's not too hateful outside, I'd rather keep the windows open and the air off. You should have seen the poor repairman when I asked him to set the thermostat to 80F. I really only wanted to be sure it worked and get the indoor humidity down. On a related note, I HATE shopping at this time of year, I need to keep a jacket or sweater with me to tolerate a store. It's summer people, if I'm wearing clothes appropriate for the outdoor weather 70F is too darn cold. Sorry for the rant, this is a sore point for me.
Anyway, I've added 5.25 miles in the last two days for a June total of 84.5 miles. I wasn't able to get my long walk in yesterday with the repairman here, I think I can fit it in the schedule today though.
i am with you. Our local supermarket is so cold to the point that I am shriveling. I have to fly through there, especially the dairy section,0 -
The remnants of Cindy are coming so it was yard work all day. Late planting of my cannas, trimming my yews, reducing some of the weight of the limbs of my Forest Pansey Redbud so the branches don't break and finish chopping up the neighbors shrubs that I cut last week. I did get my run in. Not sore today. Also got a couple dog walks in and some cycling.
June 22: Adding 13 miles today.
TTD: 293 miles

Glad I got my long walk in yesterday, it's rain, thunderstorms and flash flood watches today. I'll brave a light rain, but lightening is a definite no. We have lightening detectors at the park now after a some people were hit during a soccer tournament a few years ago. Thankfully no major injuries that time, but I'm not taking my chances.
Added 5.25 miles for a June total of 89.75 miles.
@sussexbythesea I'm glad you are getting a break in the temperatures
@anaconda469 I hope the higher temperatures break soon for you too. Good luck with your training under the circumstances.2 -

CONGRATS to @SUSSEXBYTHESEA and @AZSUNDANCER for making GOAL!!! :drinker:
Some brutal heat out there in several parts of the US!! Especially in AZ. I don't know how you all do it! That's why I live in Minnesota. We have a few 90F+ days a year, but rarely does it ever exceed 100F.
