Our journey begins...
You've come home from a long day after work and you're dying to finally relax. As you're getting ready to walk in, you see the corner of an envelope slipped under your door. Curiosity sparks. Entering your home, you stoop down to retrieve the envelope, opening it to find a letter which states:
"Esteemed citizen,
Your services are needed in battle to save Meridia from being taken back to it's communist mother kingdom, Alesnia. You are to report to the Meridian Fortress within 5 days. You should pack food and water to last you the 5 days journey. Once you arrive you will be given 2 days to rest and find suitable shelter. On the first day of the new week, report to General Tajic Stormhaven in the training grounds. Stay vigilant, citizen, the paths are filled with all kinds evil waiting for vulnerable prey and we need all the help we can get. May the gods be with you."
Assignment: Make a 5 day journey to the Meridian palace and report to General Stormhaven.
Objectives
- To ensure you have plenty of water for the journey, drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day. For example if you weigh 50 pounds (this is strictly for the sake of simplicity. I sure hope no one here weighs 50 pounds), you will drink 25 ounces of water a day.
- The journey will be 10 miles from your home to the palace. You can walk, jog, run, swim, hike, or cycle as long as you get 10 miles through out the week.
- Once you've completed your assignment fill out this "skellie" in a reply post in this thread.
Way of Travel: (Did you walk, cycle, swim?)
Mood/Feeling: (How did you feel about your first assignment. Did you enjoy it? Was it simple enough?
Weigh-In: (Your weight at the end of the week.)
For Funsies: you can write a post of your character's journey in your post here as well. I'm sure we'll all enjoy reading. This is completely optional.
Additional Notes: You're allowed 2 days of rest and they don't have to be like on the weekends. If you don't want to work out Tuesday, use one of your rest days. Just try to finish the assignment by Sunday. There won't be any food challenges until the next assignment.
Have fun!

Way of Travel: Way of travel included peddling and walking. Sometimes walk dancing.
Mood/Feeling: I enjoyed it! I wish we'd open it up to some other work outs too, but that might be coming our way. I wear a step counter so I can keep track of my distance when I dance or something a long those lines. I tend to play DDR or Dance Central when working out.
Weigh-In: Will post this tomorrow on my weigh in day.
For Funsies: Will try to get more into once Zarlah stops being so shy0 -
Way of Travel: walking and swimming
Mood/Feeling: I feel kinda bad that I couldn't do the whole thing due to reasons already explained but I did very much enjoy doing what I could.
Weigh-in: 224 (told you my weight would be up lol)
For Funsies: I would be lying if I said this journey was easy. Took so many bumps along the way. So much rain caused me to be slower than others. At least I got here though, right? I need to save this place even if its the last thing I do. I'm determined to make myself known and to fight as hard as I can!0 -
Way of Travel: Walking
Mood/Feeling: I have had a cold since last Tuesday so my goal was to just do 2 miles a day which I was able to do. It made me feel a sense of accomplishment to complete it even though I haven't been feeling well. Normally I would've used being sick as an excuse to lay around on the couch!
Weigh-In: 158.8 (down 0.4)0 -
