Hi all! I'm Gabbie. I'm kinda new to MFP and the whole "exercise" thing. I was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers/be my friend to help me on my way. I always find it easier to make friends with other geeks/nerds (hence my presence here). I promise I don't bite.

Hello Gabbie, my name is Joe. I find I have the most success when I drink lots of water each day. I keep away from soda because it is my big vice. I make common sense eating choices and I make sure to get in some exercise 5 days a week. That is what works for me so perhaps it can work for you. Unless a doctor has told you that you cannot lift weights I think that you should. You can start out light and ramp it up as you get comfortable. Ideally you want to lift as heavy as you can safely lift and still complete your sets.

This is not my first go round on losing. I love to exercise for me that is the easy part. Food is the problem, I love food.

I also read a lot of Scifi and Fantasy, which includes Game Of Thrones, but I don't watch it.
