It's o-freaking early here. I slept horribly last night, but set my alarm to get up and say goodbye to Dd21 before she left for Texas to see her fiance. Unfortunately, I still missed her. Shoot! So, here I am.
I'm attaching a photo of a painting that a sweet young member (maybe 24?) did for me. She said it was for me because I am a "ray of sunshine" in her life. Isn't that the sweetest??? We are doing this summer thing right now in the meeting rooms, and this week's focus was "create", so it went perfectly with that, too.
Steve, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom! I am praying for you all right now, that you feel all the feelings in a good, powerful, healthy way, and get to the other side feeling connected and supported to your loved ones.
Lee and Lou, I checked out some articles on Runners World, and also talked to a member who is a personal trainer about my knees. I'll work on the form thing ... who'da thunk? The personal trainer thinks, honestly, that it's my age probably, and the fact that I've been pretty much sedentary for a while. She's on board with me simply slowing down my progress right now, having more rest days where I just walk, and sticking with Week 2 of c25k for a few weeks to see if the pain lessens. I'll try the ice thing, too.
Skip, LOVE the pic!!! She must have been so excited! (and I wouldn't have known how to spell that, either ... but I recognized it immediately without you even having to say so!) You are the king of grand gestures, for sure!
Sam, that's too bad about the staffing issues there. I've been with the company for 10 years now, and I'm actually one of the newer ones around here. We tend to stick around. Most of my receptionists have been with us longer than me, and I'm the newest leader at the store I work the most meetings at. Overall, numbers here have been phenomenal this spring, too. This week I had no less than 50 at any of my 8 meetings, and one as big as 80. I also had 6 new (first time) LT members in the past 2 weeks, and 4 new at-goals. People are killin' it!
Mary, your August weekend sounds fun! Any plans to come to Michigan this summer? The blueberries probably have another month or so ... mmmm ....
Yay that Emma is doing better! Dennis, you're a good doggy daddy.

Mornin' BBB.
That is a gorgeous painting.
I too recommend the icing of the knees. Sorry you missed your DD.
Thinking of Steve.
So glad Emma is better.
Put down some SlugGo last night because I saw the first slug on a dill plant. YIkes!
Peonies are popping. Rosa Gosa is blooming too.

Morning Gang~
Soooo sorry you missed DD21, Lisa! Beautiful painting....no wonder your meetings are packed - YOU'RE AWESOME!
Company all leaves today. Ready for a relaxing weekend. This whole week was sorta nuts. I'm tired.
Lots to do today - but me thinks asparagus and steak on the grill tonight with a good movie....
Steve - thinking about you and your family during this tough time...
Does SlugGo work on Fox? I think I have a fox that's had babies and is living under my deck tormenting poor Cooper. Don't know how to get rid of them....
Cheers,
Skip0 -
Good morning. THANK GOD it's Friday!!! Busy week. Stupid busy making me absolutely exhausting and falling asleep on the couch at 9 pm.
Steve, I am praying for you and your family. I'm very sorry for your loss.
Beautiful picture Lisa. How long will DD be gone?
Nice gift for your wife. A new purse and a new SUV. Did she pick it out? I agree with Lisa. You're the king of a grand gesture. Watch out for cooper I bet the fox would kill him.
So Lou, when I read yesterday's thread and your post are you telling me it's a new program AGAIN?? I will have to say that our meeting stinks. It's horribly staffed. The meeting is over before all have weighed in. This is happening on a weekly basis for probably 2 months now. It would help if the receptionist knew how to work the MEG properly. Oh well.
I don't have much else to say. I guess I'd better get out the door. FINALLY a short day today. Should be home by 1. Woot.
Have a great day.0 -
Morning gang. Just getting to the airport heading home. Going to stop by the office to check in and get some things for next weeks trip to Minneapolis. I think I have to vacate my desk to since they are consolidating everyone that is left to one area to begin construction for the new tenant.
I think we have a bike ride scheduled for tomorrow then my family is coming for an organ donor family picnic at a nearby state park. I need a nap.0 -
Good Morning BBB.
Showing tomorrow - fingers crossed!
Steve - sending you energy and continued prayers.
Lisa - beautiful picture. Yes, slow and steady - visualize your form and make sure that you have shoes that fit properly.
Dennis - good to hear Emma is doing better.
Bill - I hope you can relax this weekend.
Lee - good to catch the slugs early.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Morning BBB
Steve, we all have you and your family in our prayers.
TGIF Im out of here at 3pm, then out with some friends from middle school days gone by that we've reconnected with at the reunion over winter. Should be fun! Catholic church festivals with live music and beer tents are a big thing here. So that's where we are meeting. Do you all have these going on in your cities too all summer long?
Fox family under the deck at Skips, and we've got the family of 7 woodchucks in the berm. I think we are going to consider a relocator service for them. No clue what that's going to cost?
Water main break in our hood around 6pm last night by some contractors working on a main road. uugghh. But it was fixed this morning for showers, doing dishes etc.
Heat wave rolling into these parts for the weekend.
Lisa, that's a really nice painting and gesture!
Glad little Emma is feeling better!
My magenta peonies are stellar right now. Wish they lasted longer though!
Enjoy the day BBB!0 -
Good Morning,
TGIF!!!
Been very busy this week which should not happen with a government job, but at least it is Friday and I'll be off Monday for a Dr. appt.
Steve, keeping you and family in prayer.
Steph, had a job traveling for about a year; left when they told me I had to relocate; it got to where money did not makeup for hassle. Enjoy family and weekend.
Kelly, it's the same program, MEG issues more than likely MEG or Airwatch not receptionist, I can process paper much faster than sitting there watching MEG load and sync
Skip, hope you get a chance to rest this weekend.
Busy weekend for us, hopeful everyone will be gone by early Sunday afternoon.
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
Good Morning!
Thank you all for the prayer, and for the kind words. Spent yesterday in the home town making preparations. Funeral is Tuesday. I've decided that it does not make sense for me to go into work today, so taking another day. Perhaps to get the kayak wet this morning. Exercise really helps in times like this.
We're doing OK. I know that mom is at peace now, and that in turn, gives me peace.
Lisa, that's an awesome painting!
Have a great day, everyone!0 -
Kelly - I was just ranting in general about WW and how it pushes the next big thing, whatever it may be. There's no program change in the offing yet.0

Good afternoon BBB.
- Just got back from the big city. Not going to miss those trips.
- Great painting Lisa.
- Lou, too bad there's not a new plan. I am not a SP fan. I guess it's what you grow up with, especially if you know it works. I hate change for change's sake.
- Our roses look like crap. That's what happens after the deer eats them.
- I pulled the trigger on a new phone. I found a good deal on an 'open box' Samsung Galaxy S8 at Best Buy.
- Good luck with the showing Raine.
- Welcome home Steph.
- I'm with Steve and family.

Dennis - how's Emma today?0

I would say she's almost back to her ornery normal self but still taking the antibiotics.
