Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?

I came back home from being in a flooded area. Lots of problems. Being optimistic when things go wrong can seem very foolish. I like the way that Walt Disney wrote about optimism.

I keep looking at the weather today says thunderstorms all day.
Woke up and I have a headache and my joints ache. I think this storm may be a doozy.Summer used to be my season but this year with all the weather fluctuations I am not getting any reprieve.4 -
Exercise: cycled to work and 20 minutes of bodyweight strength this evening (now doing 3 sets instead of 2)
Tracking: Yes
Calories: Just - miscalculated earlier so had a piece of cake I probably wouldn't have had if I'd been accurate but once I fixed my error I was 14 cals under, phew.

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5 Km in 41 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
PR today. Made the one tree hill walk back to the forest gate in 40 mins (5km in 40 mins / 8 mins per km). Pretty sure I would need to start running to do the trip faster.
Second walk was in the city to the further station (2.5k - flat - sub 8 mins per km pace even though wearing heavy coat and backpack. I've definitely increased speed as most others in the city seemed to walk so slow).
Another NSV today. I managed a chin-up. Does not sound like much, but this was on the door frame (no bar to wrap hands around, only about 1/2 inch ledge). Had tried this many times before, but could never get the finger tip strength combined with arm strength to lift my own weight.
Also had someone comment today "Have you lost weight?". Nice when people notice
I've compiled the progress photos I have. Unfortunately they are sans shirt, so I'll leave it up to the group as to whether I should post them. (Remember, I am a 49yo male, and not a fitness model ). They were originally for my own reference (this is why sans shirt), but I am prepared to share them here. (Also all my shirts are now very loose now and not form fitting). One is a side on comparison between 88kg, 81kg and 74kg and the other is a front on comparison between 88kg, 81kg and 74kg. So if I get 4 or more requests (of "yes, please post") from the UAC group, I will post them here.
@RangerRickL. Only 8 days left in the month (including today). Being back home, pretty sure you can make the circle.6 -
Congrats on your many successes. I think u will make the winner's circle.2

Exercised?: Yes
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
More of the same today, although for not as long. My usual jog, 3K, and 35mins of strength training with weights.
Had to cut this short as I had a load of housework to catch up on, meeting up with a mate and having a walk with the dogs (60 mins), has left little time for much else today.
@craigo3154 - well done on your NSV. Always nice to hear comments like that from folk.
It's always interesting to see before and after photo's, unfortunately I was too ashamed of my appearance to keep a photo record of my progress, but if you feel confident enough in yourself to share them with us, then by all means do so.
@aeshippers - well done for staying under!

Today, I cooked Italian Parmesan Breaded Chicken Breasts with Zucchini for dinner and for my lunches at work the next few days. Meal prep is easier to track than food purchased at the cafeteria. Even hospital cafeterias are not very healthy. The recipe called for too much butter, and since I have been trying to eat and cook healthy, I found that I have become good at adjusting recipes to make them more nutritious. I enjoyed practicing what I have learned in the last year.

3 yeses today. I started the weightlifting program that I've been wanting to finish for a long time. 40 minutes of free weight work in a gym with no a/c in 100 degree heat. Whew! It was hard today. It's a 6 to 8 month program and I'm eager to see some results. It feels so good to be stronger, strong enough to do everyday mobility work and not feel like I need a defibrillator. Lol.
I also figured out that I am now 1 pound lighter than I was when I got pregnant. A milestone that I'm celebrating tonight...not with food, FYI. I was 35 lbs overweight when I got pregnant with my daughter, so it's such a relief to say goodbye to the excess.

@MyersCrystal: Congrats on your milestone!

I cleared my exam at the Pulmonary Specialist!
My lungs are fine. That's a relief! He said my trouble breathing is mostly due to being overweight. Now I have even more motivation!
I go back in a month and I'd like to prove to him that I can do it!5 -
@craigo3154 Congratulations!! on your PR. I'm probably the last one to say this...nice to see your photo!! Thanks
I just finished an extra long day at my office. I left tonight at 7:45 pm with out of town colleagues. We worked with a variety of our clients today. Great results and very happy clients. Got home after an excellent red wine, a juvenile zinfandel and a celebratory Chilean sea bass. Calories were ok for the day!!
Exercise:only had time to walk 25 minutes
Tracking: ok

Today was my getting ready for my sister and partner's visit. They are flying in from Kelowna British Columbia tomorrow. I did lots of house cleaning and grocery shopping. My husband made chicken kabobs for supper which were delicious; there will be leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I made a black bean brownie for tomorrow as well. We have lots of healthy food bought and prepared so staying on track should work while my sister is here.3
