Welcome to Monday of a new week. I did a lot of exercise during the week and last night, I was sore. Recently, I had heard that perhaps what I was taught about post-exercise lactic acid buildup was not correct. So, in the interest of science and the UAC team, if you are willing to read about 300 words to learn the truth about "Delayed Onset Muscle Stress", read this link...it's worth the time to read it http://grace-everything-fitness.blogspot.com/2013/09/o-cindy-doms-lactic-acid-myth-buster.html

Date: 10th July
Exercised?: Yes. 20 minutes walking and running on treadmill.
I've come to the conclusion that I really need to look at my sleep patterns! I'm not always having the energy to work out in the morning and I know this will help me out.
Calories: yup! Within my calories, which I'm pretty happy with as it was a very tired long day, which can make me eat too much.
Tracked: Yes9 -
Exercise: Cycled to work and walked at lunchtime. Looking quite wet for the rest of the week and possible snow so the bike may have to stay in the garage.
Tracking and calories okay. Still struggling with the stress eating though, will start to tackle that tomorrow. I have a plan to make me more honest and accountable about it.
Decided it was time to put up a profile pic although have gone with one where I'm hiding behind the phone. This was one of the daughter's dresses I tried on last week and I'm quite pleased with the effect of my weight loss.
@craigo3154 hope you're feeling better today

@aeshippers beautiful new profile picture. Would be even lovelier to see your face.
@RangerRickL I love DOMS to an extent, it lets me know I've worked out hard, but I have overdone it at times and have suffered for a week or so over it. It really hits the legs hard. So glad you enjoyed yourself last night. I am anticipating using up another pass this week during vacation (which starts Thursday).
Have a great day everyone.8 -
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
Today was squat class. I suck at squats. But I sucked it up and went anyway. Tonight was rapier training. I suck slightly less at Rapier. We did a bunch of melee stuff which was fun.
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
Yes although my macros were all over the place. Noodles for both lunch and dinner left the protein a bit light.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
Yup! Dinner was at a restaurant, so a bit of a guess, but left a deficit anyway so margin for error.8 -
Hello, all! I apologize for my absence the first 1/3 of this month. I've checked in most days, but didn't say much. I hope that everyone is doing well!
Summer is my most difficult time remaining accountable, and the scale is showing it. I took three pass days over the weekend, but made many memories. Although I did not track, I remained conscious of my choices and tried to remain as healthy as I could. Thank you for helping me develop those skills.
Over the weekend, I went camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. There was not cell service, and the disconnect was blissful. We canoed many places and got plenty of exercise, but also ate plenty and had some adult beverages. After getting home yesterday, I attended a graduation party hosted by a family that I grew up with. Their grandmother is Indonesian, and it had been years since I had eaten her amazing cooking, so I indulged a bit. After that, I waited in the hospital for 5 hours while my best friend gave birth to a beautiful little boy. It was a long, beautiful weekend.
Today, my stomach hurts from eating abnormal meals and my energy is low, but I can't wait to get to the gym and get back to being accountable. This week is a big week for me, as I am running a five-mile race on Thursday and competing in the Tough Mudder on Sunday.9 -

GOOD MORNING, "MONDAY" HOPE EVERYONE HAS A GREAT WEEK!
@craigo3154 sure hope you are feeling better soon.
@aeshippers You are amazing, nice picture but like @debodom1962 it would be even nice without the phone....lol.....but that is okay we all have to do what is comfortable for us.

@PaisleyFlower sometimes we do have to re-evaluate how we do things. Tiredness is definitely a trigger for me as well. Hopefully you can come up with a plan that works for you! I will be interested in your progress! You can do this!
@RangerRickL read your post yesterday sounds like you had a VERY busy, fun filled day. You and Rose are AWESOME! I have the same attitude towards pass days, that way no regrets it happened and it is in the past..........gone...move on...

Exercise: Rest day and 30 min yoga
Calories: Under so much I had to have a snack
Tracked: Yes
30 day yoga challenge: day 10
Miles: 0 for the day .. which the dog was quite peeved about !
Lesson Learned: Tummy grumbles does not cause death. I was so hungry at work today (I work 9 hour days) all I could think about was Chipotle and how I wound eat the WHOLE thing (burrito bowl) not just half like I usually do. Alas, I passed cuz I knew it was a rest day and would not have the calorie allowance. Tiny victories people!14 -

@pears734 It sounds like you had great reasons for taking a few passes. Amazing and beautiful! My mom had several Indonesian friends and I had the privilege of eating with them many times...seriously delicious food! So awesome of you to be at your friend's side for the birth of her baby. Pure magic!! Welcome back.4

@aeshippers dress looks Great! I love it when my 20 year old daughter and I trade clothes.
@hil331115 sorry about the migraine. They can totally knock you flat.
July 10, third beautiful beach day.
Repeat of yesterday. 30 mile bike ride. Kayaking. A little bit of stand-up paddle board. It was a lot windier and much harder to control in the bay. My husband and I went for a sunset walk out on the tidal flats. Lots of exercise earned calories left over.
