Every one of you are doing great!! I appreciate you! I am grateful for each of you and the way that you share what you need help with and how you lift up each other.
What are you grateful for today? Look around where you are....

Thanks for this Rick! Gratitude is so important. The benefits of having this mindset are huge. I'm grateful for Rick and all of you ultimate accountability challengers.
The crucial element allowing our personal daily gratitude to allow these benefits is to let go of comparison though...

Sorry for bombarding you all with posts I just think it's so important. Please go ahead and share what you're grateful for as it's proven to help not just the mind but weight loss/healthy active lifestyles and is something we should practise daily. It's then down to each of us to not compare. (For example the me of this week has passed an exam and my husband's got a promotion. The me of last week would have struggled to read that as she failed an exam and her husband was suffering anxiety. There were different things to be grateful for last week and there are different struggles this week.) Good luck! Have a great day!6

I'm grateful for all of you for the support that I receive from being a part of this group.
I'm grateful for my daughters' closets, I've found out that the work conference I'm attending in a fortnight has a semi formal awards dinner on the first evening and as I have shrunk out of all my clothes I thought I would have to go shopping again but managed to find a choice of 2 suitable dresses, 1 from each daughter.
I'm grateful that I was relocated almost a year ago to a new building that's in cycling distance and I no longer have to do the horrible drive into Christchurch every day.
Exercise: cycled to work, walked at lunchtime and 60 minutes gentle exercise bike while watching TV.
Tracking: Yes

@RangerRickL. @am_change. We all need reminding of this. Often.
I have so many things to be grateful for. Good health, great family, good friends, challenging work and or course the wonderful UAC group.
Weight management and exercise have done wonders for my mental health too.
I try set a good example.
I recall saying last month that "My bad days are often better than a lot of people good days". Still holds true.
@conchita962. Short amounts of hunger are OK. Knowing that the next meal is only a couple of hours away, you can learn to live with it. It's only in relatively recent times (last 200 years or less) that people started eating more than 3 times a day.
The "grazing" principal does not work seem to work for a lot of people as it provides too many opportunities to over eat. Also readily packaged snack foods are the easiest ones to over eat.
Lastly if most foods consumed give an insulin spike (sugars, processed carbs) and you are eating every few hours, then insulin resistance could become a problem. Only letting insulin level drop when you sleep, but keeping them high most of the day can lead to type 2 diabetes (aka. insulin resistance - especially if genetically susceptible). Our bodies NEED times of low insulin to maintain proper function.
I find saving the calories for better prepared meals serves me much better. You can eat very filling meals and easily keep inside a calorie budget (fibre, fats and protein trigger satiety quickly). Some days I actually need to eat dessert simply to meet the days calorie requirement (a diet that REQUIRES ice-cream and/or chocolate {or pavlova } to lose weight ).
@lkellandmay. Perfect illustration of the power of accountability (chocolate covered almonds). Well done.
Will be flying out of town for Friday through Monday (family holiday, sisters 50th). I am the only "J" type in the family (wife and daughter are both "P" types), so planning is "interesting". Will try get internet when I can.

I am grateful for so many things in my life, but as it pertains to weight loss, I am grateful that I have the determination and willpower to keep picking myself up whenever I fall and fail. I am grateful for the complete strangers who become friends from this board who are willing to cheer me on and lift me up even higher.
@craigo3154 have a great vacation. Mine is next week and I have to plan my food and exercise strategy for the 4 days we'll be gone.6 -
@craigo take care as you fly off to the land of only you know where!! As your fellow "P" type, I'll relate and be comfortably late to a few meetings. For those who would like to understand the "J" and the "P", we are talking about our Meyer Briggs personality profiles. I'm a ENTP, and @craigo3154 is a highly capable INTJ. The J type is the doer. We "P" types just like a good party and surround ourselves with doers.
I'm grateful for each of you and I really appreciate @craigo3154 caring and sharing.4 -
This morning, I am grateful to have had a 2016-2017 personal best/record (PR) during my cardio strength intervals. My 3 interval pushup series was 75 regular floor pushups; 60 outward palm pushups; and 45 diamond pushups.
Jump rope intervals were 4 rounds with 1 lb rope; and 9 rounds with 1/2 pound rope. 60-70 skips per round.
Whew! I'll be back to easy day walking tomorrow.8 -
@am_change Thanks so much for you and your posts!4

Today I am grateful for a full day; morning treadmill workout, pool time with our NZ friends, pickle ball in the afternoon, friends this evening and my UAC people/friends to report to before bed. Love my life!7

Not had much time today but did get to take the dogs a walk, 70mins and a walk into town and back. Missed my jog, but honestly it's really hot here (UK) 30 degrees and the humidity really knocks it out of you just walking let alone running, so had to give it a miss.
I've logged in my calories and tracked everything, and still 100 calories under my 1200 limit.
Just haven't got an appetite today - too hot I think.5 -
I have so many things to be grateful for, My husband(Bud 30 years strong), My sons, daughter and grandchildren, AWESOME FRIENDS and neighbors(also friends), each day feeling a "little" bit better, my healthcare both provincial and extended plans(as they are well used), my stubbornness (most times...lol ). I am also grateful for the ability to be able to change my lifestyle to become a slimmer, happier, healthier and physically active person. This UAC group has been a very grateful part of my life. Thank you everyone!
I truly believe that smiles and hugs are contagious and I absolutely love giving both. My friends say I am known for my laughter and smile, I can not think of a better thing to be known for!
Hope everyone has a GREAT day. I will be back tonight with my positive results!

This one life is such an incredible gift. I'm very grateful. I had a fun day off work with my 17 month old. The heat made it a fun day for our regular Thursday swimming class. It was so sunny that we did both share a small ice cream later with friends but I logged it all! Thanks UACers for holding me accountable!6 -

I really love today's thought. Today much like everyday for the past month I've had the distinct pleasure of listening to my 10 month old daughter babbling cheerfully to herself on the drive to and from daycare. I can't help but be totally charmed by her. I'm absolutely grateful for the joy she brings to my life.
