It's TGIF Eve!!!
Continues HOT and wet here. After over 9" of rain Tuesday it started raining again last night and expected rain all day today. Take heat in 80's, it was in 90's, add rain and the air conditioning units are getting a good workout.

John, the both ends quip was awesome.

Connie had a great time with the KC Chiefs rookie squad yesterday. She said they were all 21 & 22 y.o. kids that really listened to her message. Jake was 21, 6'1, and 230 lbs, and somehow that reached these guys. Connie said that a group of more than 10 of them came up after and gave her hugs, took pictures, and talked. I'm very proud of her. Then, she ate lunch with them at the training table. Cool experience!

I, on the other hand, took her to an old DQ style dive last night and had a tenderloin and choc shake. Felt very good, but for sure not diet friendly.

Driving the ol' '71 Chevy C10 to work today, just to mix it up. I don't take it often, and it is not as easy to drive in heavy traffic as my car. Sometimes mixing it up, is good, and the ol' gal needs to have gas run through her on a longer trip, once in awhile (10 mpg - vs the 32 mpg I get in my car.)

Good morning gentlemen.

Continuing to stain our fence, today. I can only hold a brush for two or three hours before my arthritic thumbs get too painful to continue. Makes the job take longer. I should buy a sprayer.

Good Morning. Heading back to Oakland to have my hardship request & documentation to be excused from jury duty reviewed by the Judge. Very sore from all the sitting yesterday at the courthouse. Triple digit heat continues here 107 yesterday. At least it is cooler in Oakland for the 4 block walk to the courthouse from the station.

Morning all. Seems the west is under an incredible heat wave....stay cool all you brothers out there. DW and I walked the high school track today...nice surface but all out boring doing 12 laps...felt like I was a hamster. Hope you all have a great day. P.S. David, sprayer really is the answer.
