New group? 2-4 st to lose in London

Hi all
I guess you could say I'm an expert at food and a beginner at exercise (at the age of 37...!). But I want to lose 3 stones over the next 12 months. I'm never going to do it with my current social life which mostly revolves around food. I mostly work out at home but it would be good to get out without feeling self conscious in front of the thin regular gym bunnies.
Was thinking it would be nice to form a group in London to meet once a week centrally to do an exercise class and then eat or drink tea somewhere fairly healthy/making healthy choices.
At the very least online we could share our experience of particularly good classes/trainers, fitness offers, restaurants with healthy options etc. and also keep each other motivated and accountable.
My suggestion for criteria for the group would be people:
- with 2-4 stones to lose, and
- sedentary lifestyle (probably office job), and
- who are unfit/new to exercise, and
- between the ages of 30 and 45
The age range is less important than the goal and fitness level, I guess. Obviously to meet up at classes, you would also need to be able to factor an exercise class (£10-15) into your weekly budget and schedule, but it may be less if we can get discounts on a block of classes, or maybe even get a trainer together whilst the weather is good.
Anyone in?
