Fitbit app: wrong time zone?

I've bought a Charge 2. Before doing so I had a look at the Fitbit app, and just kept it on my phone. Seems to count steps without a device paired to it just fine. Only it seems to be in the wrong time zone. I just fired it up and it says I walked 9053 steps today, most of which between 8-9 in the morning. Well, it's not even 9 in the morning yet! Something is seriously off there. It can't be tracking my car drive either as it's a small 15 minutes affair, and at 8 I was still in bed, and the distance to my bathroom isn't quite that far either :wink:

Any ideas? I cannot find the right setting for any timezone inside the app, or anything else that might be wrong.

edit: found the timezone settings, and it's set to the right one. Odd!

    The Fitbit app talks to an app-server, that syncs your info back to the account-server that actually holds your stats.

    That then sends info back to the app-server, and when your app syncs, it gets the info.

    So you might confirm your web-based account has correct time-zone too.

    You have TZ settings in account, in app, on phone.

    There can be mismatches anywhere.

    Ih, never looked into the account! At the moment the app seems to pull data from the ios health app! At least after a few hours into the new day all previous days were corrected and the same as the health app in the morning. Well... will get the fitbit soon and then experiment properly
