I want to start marathon training. I've tried walking for 3+ hours and i got blisters on my foot and it all points to my poor fitting shoes. the shoes are low quality and I neeed recommendations on best shoes for LONG distance walking/running. Thanks.

Get gait analysis at a running shop.
Im a new balance girl personally but that doesnt mean they'd be right for you.1 -

Do you need support shoes or neutral shoes? Do you pronate or supinate? Have you a high volume foot or low volume? Wide feet or narrow? Do you like a minimal drop or a higher drop?
Everyone has different feet. What is comfortable for me might not be comfortable for you. You need to go to a specialized running store and try on shoes until you find some that are comfortable and fit your feet. If you can afford it, get a couple of different shoes so you have some for every day short runs and a more cushioned pair for you long runs.
After you know you've found something you like, after you've run in them for a month or so, get a second pair so you'll have a pair that you can race in with only 50 or so miles on them. I had the issue a couple of years ago where the shoes I loved were replaced by a new model that didn't fit my feet so I had to find a new pair of comfortable cushioned shoes only a month before my race. It wasn't easy.
FWIW, for my wide neutral feet, I like Asics Nimbus and Cumulus shoes. They are very cushioned. I also like Sauconny Echelons, which aren't as cushioned but are good every day running shoes. When I tried a more supportive shoe, I liked Brooks Adrenalines, but didn't need the extra support so didn't continue with them. I was told they are good for heavier runners who pronate. I have friends who run marathons in Hokas and others who race in minimalist shoes or lightweight racers.0 -
Agreed with above, there are so many variables.
I run in Brooks Defyance shoes (as per a podiatrist) because I have super wide hobbit feet. And I don't wear socks. We'll see how that goes now that my mileage is going up with marathon training...0
