It has been a hard week, hope it is a quiet weekend.
Steve, try renting a large suburban or yukon for a trip, Connie may feel safer in bigger vehicle.
I put lacquer thinner in bites, burns like hell but stops the itch.
Enjoy the Day,

Yesterday I bought some Little Debbie's campfire snack cakes for the upcoming family camping trip. Cute little pinetrees with chocolate layer cakes inside-- for the kids. Stuck in freezer to keep fresh till the trip. Two 5-packs. Last night before bed I ate two of the cakes... Tossed the boxes in the trash afterwards. Can't keep anything sweet in the house. I'm like Jekyll and Hyde when there's cake around.
Errands today. Car dealer to find out the maintenance history of my 'new' 2011 RAV4 and junkyard for spare tire and wheel. The car came with 'run-flat" tires: no spare tire, just drive with the flat till you come to a garage. That's fine around here in central Mass., but where I camp in the northwoods of Maine ain't no garages.0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Fun day on the road with my DW, yesterday. The forecast rain turned out to be barely enough to turn on the wipers for about two minutes.
My 2008 RAV4 (which I purchased new) has 197,000 miles on it. I get everything checked regularly, but it does give you pause when you frequently drive 20 to 30 miles up gravel and dirt roads to remote mountain trailheads. That's a long walk with no cell coverage. Maybe next year I'll buy a new truck.0 -
Good Morning!
Still hot in KC! Obsessive Heat Warnings are so much fun! Ugh!
Other than the heat, things are OK. Just plugging along. The heat and humidity sap energy, so I am typing this at work before getting started, and feel like I should still be in bed. Not good.
Have a great day!0 -
Amen Dave. I was 10 miles up a dirt gravel road and a mile by foot up the trail AND inside a cave when I lost my car keys once. It would have been another 30 miles from the highway to town too which maybe had no locksmith anyway. I trudged back up the trail from the car to the cave turned my light on and went back inside. After several minutes I noticed something on the top of a breakdown pile of rubble. A glint in my caving light. Lo and behold my car keys teetering on the top edge of the rubble pile. Sometimes ya get lucky. WHEW,0

Good Morning. Getting ready to get out for a walk. Yesterday's was cancelled when I opened the door and found the painters taping plastic over my door to get ready to paint our section of the building. Temps have really dropped. I wore shorts & Tee all afternoon and then went to movies in the park last night and a hoodie didn't quite cut it. Beats 80 degrees at 8pm. Have a good day.0

Stay cool gents for sure. Still fairly cool here in Pac NW for maybe one more day than warmer 90s in my future in PDX area.0
