I know who Steven Covey is, but I don't know Preacher Eric Hip Hop Thomas. Nonetheless, they are both right. I needed to make a UAC team promise to be able to make it through the food gauntlet of my family reunion food fiesta and non-stop eating opportunity.
Thanks to each of you for being apart of this accountability team!!
Also:
Special Thanks to @craigo3154 for his daily kick off posts and his daily encouragement to so many of us!

What are you want us to hold you accountable for this month? Goals should be realistic and attainable...3

I need to be more accountable around my food and mindless snacking as my new good eating is starting to slip back a little
Exercise: cycling to work and 15 minutes of strength
Tracking: good
Calories: just squeaked in following mindless evening snacking4 -
August 7
Exercised?: Yes. Walked 3.1 Km in 25 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Early morning today (3:30am). Flew to Brisbane for a meeting, then back to Melbourne (7 hours travel for 2 hours meeting). Airports and and on airlines are difficult places to find low-carb eating options (I suppose because processed carbs are cheap (high margin) and keep well). Fortunately was prepared.
Short walk tonight as daylight was fading (fortunately days getting longer). While on walk, met up with another walker that stopped me and commented "Have you lost weight?" (She had been walking the same trails as I do for months and we cross paths occasionally, but this is the first time we have spoken more than just "Hi" {or just wave}). We chatted for another 10 mins before going our separate ways. Nice to be noticed.
Early night tonight (to try catch up on sleep).
@RangerRickL. Happy to help out. Glad the reunion was good.
(p.s. I like the Steven Covey - 7 Habits for Hight Effective People. They do actually work).
I posted my goals for the month on August 1:
Goals for this month:- Be in winners circle (track everything, keep under budget, 20+ mins exercise per day, no more than 3 pass days)
- Stay between 75kg and 70kg (slow transition to maintenance and trying not to go too slow that I go too low)
- Stay honest (even if it puts me out of the circle for the month) and continue past failings (forgive mistakes and keep moving forward)
- Encourage others where possible
May post more comments in the morning.5 -

Exercised?: Yes
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Walking:-
Took the dogs for a walk first thing this morning as me and my son had planned a 20km hike for today and I knew my old man (oldest dog) would never make it that far. He's 16 years old and although he can still manage the walks I take him on, this hike would have been too much for him.
So the doggie walk this morning took us 65mins and just under 4km.
Got back, had a light breakfast, then off I went again. ((Doggies stayed with my daughter))
Total steps walked today: 50,384 - 24km
Total calories burned: 1930
Total calories consumed: 1481 / 1320 - over again today as had a packed lunch for dinner - sandwiches, etc...still well over 1000 calories spare from walking.
A couple of piccies that might be interesting....

@trixsey1 woweeeee! What an amazing hike! How long did it take? Interested as I'm walking 25km later this month on a hilly route and can't work out how long it will take. Love the fairy door!
@craigo3154 well done for surviving the travelling. Sounds like a long day. Travel days always make me more hungry so I'm super impressed!
@aeshippers you've done incredibly over the last few months. A few tiny blips won't undo those good habits.
Tracking: yes
Calories: yes
Exercise: yes. Swimming and walking.
My long term aims that this group is helping me achieve is to get to a healthy bmi and for my wedding ring to fit again. I took it off when I was about 5 months pregnant and now bizarrely even though I'm below my pre pregnancy weight it's far too small!
My short term aims for this month that you're helping me be accountable for, are making the most of my 10day gym pass I got which expires tomorrow (I've been every day I've had childcare so far ), taking up a different gym's 12days of summer for free offer next week, being fit enough to complete a 25km hilly hike later this month (without my little training partner )and staying within my calories next weekend at my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary party and also at our one week holiday at the end of the month. Not too much to be aiming for right? Thanks for keeping me in check everyone!6 -
Good morning everyone. Lots of pass days used yesterday. Just a reminder that was yesterday and in the past leave it there and bless this wonderful Monday morning, a new beginning. I will be checking in tonight to read about your successes and to share mine! WE CAN DO THIS!
I just found this on my home page and was wondering if this has happened with anyone else.

pribud This is not true! For some reason my exercise has been going in as I did my exercises twice. I looked back and it happened 3 other times this week. Not sure how this is happening. I can barely get in once a day right now. I am not super woman...lol And no I did not eat those calories......lol

This has happened to me once before but I posted on my homepage that it had duplicated. You can change it in your mfp of course but since its already been logged it doesn't seem to alter the stats already posted. The same goes for food too. It seems to duplicate now and then too. I believe a couple of other members have experienced such problems too.
@am_change - it took us 6 hours in total but we stopped to look round the ruins and visited the gardens then had dinner there too. Also my son can't walk very fast as he has prepetular buritis <spelling? in both knees so we walked at a leisurely pace as we were in no rush. It could perhaps take less or if your speedy like @craigo3154 it'll take no time at all! .....xx3 -
Yes x3 today.
Nice walk (c.40 mins) & lots of stairs again as still trying to clear out attic.
Calories all logged and well under my limit.
@pribud , that happened to me a while back . My Garmin connect bracelet and map my fitness were both logging automatically!
@trixsey1 Great walk!
@craigo3154 that's a lot of traveling for a meeting! I also travel for work and find it hard food wise.
Night all5 -

August 7:
Exercise?: 35 minutes of weight lifting and some walking, though it was pretty rainy today.
Plank?: Yes.
Calories?: Yes, with 405 to spare.
Tracked?: Yes.
I have found that I snack mindlessly at the end of the day at work, especially after 2:30. Normally, I'd take lunch early and be hungry again by late in the day. So today, I had a protein bar as a snack at noon instead and waited until after 2:00 to take my lunch break. Worked like a charm to curb the snacking. Let's hope tomorrow makes two in a row.7 -

Internet is up but not 4 long another storm is heading our way. I took a pass day for yesterday
Hubby went to fall and I should have got out of his way instead of attempting to break it. Let's just say I went through some painful days till the chiropractor could put me back in place. He will be the death of me.2 -

Exercised: yes, I did 65 minutes of a circuit training workout. It felt very productive. I did a lot of squat kicks, shoulder presses, upright rows, planks, step ups, jumping jacks, skipping rope, and running!!
Calories: yes, I stayed well within my goal. I had a dental procedure, today, so I couldn't eat for many hours. I feel ok, though
Tracked: yes, I tracked everything. I'd pre-entered everything but ended up having to erase a lot due to my dental appt
Keep up the good work, everybody!!!

@trixsey1 - that was quite a hike. I can see that your beautiful scenery helps keep it interesting too! Well done.
@pribud - you have been doing an amazing job post surgery even without triple counting your exercise! Just wanted to say congrats.
Hmmm. How do I need help being accountable?
1. Want to stay in calorie range every day this month (as opposed) to last, so that I can make it into the winners circle.
2. Want to make sure I don't impulsively eat extra snacks. Even if they are healthy ones, they do add up!4 -
3 yeses today. My daughter is getting back to normal finally. It feels so good to see her feeling better. The endless worry is diminishing some, but not for good.
If there was only one thing I'd like help staying accountable for here with my UAC friends, I would start with stretching daily. I know how vital it is for mobility and preventing injury during exercise, but it's really been hard to start getting into the habit. My goal is to stretch once in the morning and again in the evening, twice every day. Thanks for reading. Good night.5 -

Was hoping for a more vigorous workout today but only got in a 40 minute bike ride with my daughter. I woke up with a head cold and it's gotten worse throughout the day. Fever just hit so off to bed I go!5 -
Hope you had a great family reunion @RangerRickL!
My goals are no binge eating (along with staying within my calories and exercising every day). Certain foods are a trigger for me, and so far in this month I have been staying away from them.

Pass #2 We had 2 grandchildren sleepover last night. They came around 4:00 PM yesterday and stayed until after lunch today; we swam twice, did a backyard scavenger hunt and painted many rocks. We also did lots of reading and watched a few episodes of "Puss and Boots". Did not track but had tons of fun.4

Aside from UAC goals, I want to work on stress, which means, no checking work emails on days off, and no beating myself up when I don't know everything, or make a mistake. I wear myself out from stress.3 -

Today was the first full day of my camping/road trip through Canadian National Parks. Most of the day was spent driving, but my friends and I planned a few hours on Riding Mt. National Park, where we hiked 9 miles and swam a bit. All of our meals this week are planned ahead of time and healthy, so it should be a great week
I would most like you all to keep me signing in. I'm on MFP everyday, but if I get busy or have too many pass days, I become shy about posting on UAC. Make sure I'm posting, please!5 -
