Pepsi helping with Morning Sickness...

Has anyone ever experienced Pepsi calming down morning sickness?
I have some real ginger ale that does nothing for me, mint tea usually sounds gross (and I enjoy both of these drinks normally), but I discovered that some Pepsi takes away my queasiness and lets me eat!
Since I usually feel worse and worse if I can't get food in me, this is a great discovery, BUT I almost never drink soda, and drinking Pepsi with almost every meal does not sound like a very healthy way to live, even if it does help me eat more than just bread and crackers.
So I'm wondering, has anyone else ever experienced this? And if so, was there anything else that worked in addition to Pepsi?

Thankfully just a little bit helps, and with my previous pregnancies the morning sickness stopped right at the second trimester, so it won't last forever. But it'd be nice to not spend all of my caffeine and calories on one drink.

Gingerale made me feel worse too.

Oddly lemonade was the only drink that took away nausea. Light lemonade if you're worried about cals could be an option.

Lemonade and lots of snacking (fruits or cheese or trail mix) throughout the day, the longer between meals the worse i felt.

But if Pepsi works, and you're worried about caffiene you could try the caffiene free. Do what works for you!

Good luck! Hopefully it ends soon!

@karen_thinmint Caffeine free is a great idea! Thank you! And I'll definitely try lemonade, too. :)

I say if your struggling w morning sickness and found something that works then just go for it. Hopefully it will resolve in a couple weeks and you can focus on wiser drink choices then. As already mentioned pepsi has a caffeen free version. Dont know if you would want to do diet or not. Personally, while I am typically fine with diet soda, I have been wary of it while pregnant and personally decided to not drink it.

At walmart I was able to find natural dramamine, which is literally just ginger pills. I didnt personally find it worked for me but some people swear by ginger. Some people also have luck using sea sickness bracelets, which I found at walgreens but never bought and tried.

My dr was ok w my taking motion sickness meds so I took bonine in the morning on my really bad days. As with most medications there is not significant research to determine if motion sickness meds will have and effect on the fetus, in my findings there was no evidence of bonine having a negtive impact, and was not thought its mode of action should hurt the fetus. I dont remember why I settled on bonine over dramamine, i think because it doesnt make you drowsy. It might be worth considering if you and your dr. feel comfortable with it.

Good luck! It's a poopy time but you will get through it!

Have you tried ginger biscuits instead?
I find it's something I can just nibble on in the morning with a cup of tea and it just settles my stomach.
If I don't eat enough and get hungry then I start to get sick!
