Hi everyone,

When I am wearing my fitbit charge HR do I still have to manually input my exercises in to MFP? I have both the apps synced and my calories adjust throughout the day according to the fitbit data. Does this mean I no longer add the exercise or do I still add it? I am worried about adding too much exercise and as a consequence eating more than I should.

You can log any non-step based exercise that your Fitbit doesn't pick up (which it should) on either platform. If you log on MFP, it will rewrite the data Fitbit has for that exact time period. Many find that Fitbit's database is more accurate, though.

The new charge actually allows for tracking other exercise such as biking, weight lifting etc.

I track my lifting each time and as an example yesterday was 10mins (deload week) for my bench so 2 sets @ 5reps 1@3 then 2 sets @ 5 reps and 1 @12 using weights up to 70lbs...

    It showed 37 calories burned....

So to the OP I don't log my exercise on MFP at all any more....but as mentioned you can but it will overwrite what your fitbit has indicated.

Thank you! I have stopped logging my exercises now and just going with my fitbit. I know it's not 100% accurate but the readings it gives for calories burnt are nowhere near as crazy as the ones mfp gives!
