Morning BBB
At the airport headed to Houston for the week. Should have gotten a little more prepared while I still had both monitors but will have plenty of time to get everything done by the time I present in Thursday.
Low key day yesterday with a mid day nap. Run smoothies for dinner.0 -
Good morning.
I've got this place looking great. I have no idea how many loads of laundry I've done over the weekend.
I got Reilly's room looking good now. I need to get a plastic container to slide under his bed to put his ammo and gun stuff in.
Today is the trek to woodford reserve to drink an eclipse while watching the solar eclipse. We will leave around 11 giving us 3 hours for the 2 hour trip.
Make it a great day.0 -
Mornin' BBB.
Safe travels, Steph and Kelly. Hmmm...drinking an eclipse while watching the eclipse. www.diffordsguide.com/cocktails/recipe/693/eclipse
Yesterday hit the ground running to get morning chores done and then drive an hour to be at my Spaniel club's hunt test to assist and begin training to be a hunt test judge. After afternoon awards ceremony, we did some dog training for those of us that will have dogs in next weekend's trial. Had a dog overheat and needed to give IV fluids. Didn't get home until 7:30 pm. DW was not amused about my uber late arrival, but was more upset about Yankees losing to Boston Red Sox.
Great news about Rita making that hike, Dave. Considering her health battles, that must have been a huge triumph.

It is a legitimate concern, unfortunately.
Tomato plants are burgeoning. As usual, way more than two people to consume.
Off to work.

Good Morning!
Supposed to be cloudy here today. We'll see. I'm somewhat excited, but really can take it or leave it.
Way too much going on again!
I hope that everyone has a Blessed day!0 -
Good Morning,
Skip, so glad you are home and on mend with lots of attention.
Safe travels Kelly, being an empty nester is so nice, but you will still be glad when they return provided it is a limited visit. According to DMIL DW must can't do anything right because she always has to put her 2 cents in yet she hasn't and won't do herself; just letting you know you are not alone. Really do not believe they realize their belittlement.
Traffic was lite this morning, reckon lots are headed to watch eclipse; know DD and family are headed to Clemson Univ. for watching eclipse. We should have either a 97 or 98% eclipse here in Atlanta depending on who is reporting.
Mary, glad you enjoyed lake and fellowship.
Steph, we all know presentation will be fabulous and all will be wowed.
Raine, some interest in house sounds great if they do not come through they may send someone your way. Personally I love unique properties.
Lee, sorry about friend and what his DW is having to deal with. We know Babe will ace trials.
Lisa, problem with children having birthdays is it reminds us of our aging.
Dave, hope Rita is not too sore from hike where she will not want to do again; I have learned that the more we move the better we feel and think.
Dennis, its been years since we participated in a progressive dinner may try and get one going in our hood. I'm sure weeklies are gone then some.
Steve, agree with Dave; mix dish soap with water in spray bottle and foam tomatoes should kill most bugs.
Lou, any word on job; but you know working is really overrated, also working with a personal trainer can be butial.
DW is going to have a long day, DMIL was up when I left this morning; in fact I could not get into kitchen because DMIL would not move. DW is ill because after I leave is what she calls her time and does not want others distracting in her time. Hopefully when DW goes for her walk DMIL will leave and drive herself to Silver Sneakers.
Enjoy the Day,

Good Morning BBB.
Overcast here and supposed to be partially clear for eclipse. Tom is doing better every day. He no longer uses the cane and he was able to pinstripe a bike bending and kneeling.
Sam - tell your DH that I love "my time" in the morning too - I enjoy my coffee and checking with you all while Jack and Tom are working out - and I love the peace and quiet.
Lee - thanks for the link. Who knew?
Kelly - enjoy the eclipse during the eclipse.
Mary - so glad you had a relaxing weekend
Steve - I've used the dish soap recipe too - works great.
Bill - I hope you are better today than yesterday.
Dennis - what is the retirement timeframe?
Lisa - I love the pics of DD and her sweetheart on FB
Steve - I agree with you about the eclipse - I'll check it out on TV - we did not get glasses. Oh well.
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Good morning BBB
DW has a hospital followup appointment at the same time the eclipse starts, here, so I doubt we'll see much. I have been unable to get excited about it, anyway. I surprise myself with my indifference.
Rita was a bit sore, yesterday, but got over it quickly. We rode a steam train in the evening, with another church group, and she had a blast.
As I sit here, the light next to me keeps flashing off and on. The bulb is an LED that was supposed to last 20 years. I installed it 6 months ago. Glad it was a free one from the power company.0 -
Good morning BBB Friends.
- Retirement timeframe? Jeesh, I'm lousing at predicting. I would say no later than the end of the year. Could be next month. Who knows.
- Did I hear Kelly is going to experience a Double Eclipse
- Sam, the progressive dinner used up most of my weeklies but I am still good for the week.
- I didn't want to hear that about the LED bulbs Dave. I replaced all the CFLs in the house when we moved in two years ago. No problems yet. I hated CFLs and they proved to have a much shorter life than advertised.
- We are expecting a 98% eclipse here but we don't have the Lone Ranger glasses so we'll be watching on TV. Actually I have a conference call at that time?!?
- Get well Skip.

Morning
Late to the party today. No work schedule has my sleep schedule out of whack.
Hope all enjoy the eclipse. I will have to settle for highlights on the news.
Dave - good luck with Rita's appt today.
Healing continues. The bruising has become more pronounced and I'm much more sore - but I guess you get worse to get better. Dying for a regular shower! Oi.
Safe travels and great presentation thoughts, Steph!
Steve - how are things with DS? Is he working? Hows the life coach helping?
Glad you were able to help at the Springer event, Doc! ~skip0
