I really enjoy wine. Preferably a red such as zinfandel, malbec, or non-sweet red blend. On a warm or hot day, a crisp white wine will do just fine.
Nonetheless, I learned years ago, that as an end of the day mood lifter, getting some exercise is a far more effective choice than pouring a glass of wine.
Here's to you...after your workout, come on over and we'll raise a glass together!

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5 Km in 39mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Great weather today. Nice walk, not much slower than normal.
Daughter competed in the "house arts" competition at school today. She loves singing and acting (is in the senior choir and a concert band and drama club). Her house won the competition, but the biggest news is that she has been asked (begged, as she put it) to audition for the school musical by the musical's director. Apparently she has impressive projection (she is also is a soprano with good tone). She get nerves performing, but I think this will do her the world of good. I so much love to see her perform and grow. (Just wish she would practice more at home so we get to hear it more often ).
I took a break mid-walk to go flying today (packed a backpack). Got some new goggles and wanted to try them out. Different location to normal and still a few tweaks required so very cautious flying.
I took some rough video while flying from what I see through the goggles the attached picture is a still from the video feed. Its not that sharp a focus as it is not a high quality camera. You will also notice LOTS of trees to run into - it is in a forest - racing quads and trees are natural enemies. (managed to fly 5 batteries and bring the quad home undamaged though ).
Wife's birthday on Friday, so booked to take her out for Teppanyaki (her favourite).
I always feel so much better after a workout. Biggest incentive to keep doing them.

Great obstacle course there Craig! Sure sounds like it's hard to do.
Well done to your daughter and good luck to her.

Not much to report today, Mainly just walking today. Had to go into town for some shopping, walked there and back, then took the woofies out.
Foot/toes aren't as painful today and can walk without limping, although it looks far worse that it feels.
Badly bruised and very purple, lol.
Total distance travelled: 14.7km (9.15 miles)
Total steps walked: 22,643
Total calories burned: 975

I feel better after a good workout too Rick. Sometimes I don't feel like doing it, and I really need to give myself that push to do so but it really does help.

I'm checking in. Good to read everyone's successes and daily events. Today is a pass with an unfortunate string of them leading up to now. This too shall pass. I hope to have my head on straight shortly. I have a terrible time living in yo-yo land as a rule. I'm going to figure out a solution that keeps me honest and on track. Thanks for being a sounding board everyone. Have a good day tomorrow!5

Exercise? Yes; 45 minutes of volleyball
Calories? Yes
Tracking? Yes
I joined a recreational volleyball league with some classmates. We had an easy game today, but I agree with today's post that it even the little movement put me in a better mood. As did the hike I took yesterday. I need to remember to get outside when school stresses me out. Lately, I've been working out in the mornings, which is a wonderful way to start the day, but then I tend to use it as an excuse to stay in and study the rest of the day. However, I think you're on to something. I'll be happier and more productive if I allow myself time to get a little bit of exercise during the evening hours as well. Thanks for the reminder!!4 -

I have the saying " You're only one walk away from a good mood" that is on a canvas hung up in my bedroom. My best friend and walking partner of 25 years and I truly believe that walking has always been a big positive mood changer for us. Exercise is a must for the both of us if we want to keep sane.
Good day. 3x3 -
@craigo3154 Congrats to your daughter. A proud mom and dad for sure. Happy bday to your wife and lots of trees you could have banged into but didn't. You must be very good.1

I'm long done my pass days. My mom fell and broke her arm. Uuhhggg...anyway...juggling both households, work, and kids. Workouts almosg non existent. I finally put my foot down and told her she was moving in for a bit. She's very independent...but I'm exhausted...she caved...so that's my victory for the week.

Very nice day, today:). I willed myself to find a new walking route, and was able to do so. I lost my direction a couple of times, so was walking in circles for a bit Was also looking for hills, but didn't find too many...It's was ok, though! I did about 90 minutes of a very brisk walk.
Calories: yes, I met the goal
Tracking: yes, I tracked it all
I'll echo what some have already said about themselves-- I feel so much better after any activity that gets me moving. LOL! Some people get (h)angry if they're hungry. I just get really grumpy if I miss a workout, unless it's a rest day.
Goodnight, all.0 -

Pass Day 2
Calories and Tracking good. I just couldn't get the body to cooperate to do exercise. Kept telling myself later then I woke up on the couch at 1am. Not a fun way to pass. Especially since the topic today is that exercise helps your mood. Quiet sure that is true as I am not in the best mood right now.0 -

Another pass day for me, #5 I think?
I am struggling to check in on a daily basis, I think a constant stream of visitors has me all out of whack. The last one went back to England last night and I was sad, so took it out on a visit to BWW.
I'm holding on by my fingertips but haven't let go yet……0 -
Posting late but yesterday got away from me. Got am and lunch work outs in . Calories and tracked fine. Outdoor workouts are the best!
