Here's an old picture I dug up of me holding Thai pads in 1979 for my first teacher in the martial arts. I was 16.



I am grateful to all the teachers I have had in Muay Thai, but perhaps my deepest gratitude goes to the man who started me on the path.

That's awesome. I'm so jealous MT gets to wear normal gym clothing. Wearing a full martial arts uniform is a drag.

Actually I did tkd prior to mt and I am missing the long clothes. mostly since most guys go without a tshirt which means there is a lot of sweat on the floor n guess who is clumsy n keeps slipping on wet floors.

Nice pictures. We don't have a grading system in my gym. Which one are you?

Pink shorts. We still get sweat on the floor, no one goes topless at our gym, possibly because it's always to damn cold.

I wish I had more time to train Muay Thai. I really do enjoy it when I train it, but only so many hours in the day and most of my training time goes to my mistress - BJJ. Here is a picture of me and UFC's Matt Brown after he did a clinch seminar at my gym which was more heavily geared toward MT than MMA.

Nice. Its a good opportunity to learn from other if you have the chance of going to seminars. even better if its at your gym.
