    Good Morning BBB.
Up and hitting the road early - driving to rally in Tazewell, VA - should be there for a late dinner. Tom is pinstriping.
If our task force gets deployed Jack and I will fly or drive home.
I'll check in from the road.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Mornin' BBB.

    Safe travels, Raine.

I am going to hazard a guess that you are rockin' it post op just from the fact you are off pain meds already, Skip. Just don't overdo it. As you know, it takes time for healing.

Hello BBB! Boy, you guys are tough to keep up with! I'll start from yesterday.

Lee, so moonshine is a real thing? It seems the stuff of legends. That's awesome that you could be there for your friend.

Sam, nice of you to be kissing DMIL, even if it's in jest.

Skip, you could simply give them the option: either cool the house down, or I'm taking off more. Then it's their choice.

Raine, be careful if you get deployed! (Is more Raine in Texas really the best idea? Ha ha!) I'll be praying for you and Jack. I have a lot of WW friends down there who are hit pretty hard right now.

David, I see you were up at 4 yesterday ... I woke up at 3 today. I feel completely awake and refreshed at the moment, but I bet I'll be begging for a nap at 2pm! Luckily, I just might get a short one.

Sorry about the interview, Lou. I know how that feels, and I hope you rested better last night.

It's been busy around here, but in good ways. I'm working on a cool thing for WW that includes me doing some crafts and creative work, which makes me infinitely happy. We've had Anabelle quite a bit lately, too. It's funny how the older I get, the more I am grateful for the little moments. When I was younger, I wanted the BIG ones. The flashy ones. The dance-on-the-table-woo-hoo stuff. But my favorite moment from this past weekend was this: we'd taken Anabelle and Dd17 paddle boating on a pretty lake for the afternoon, and she was sleepy. So, she and I took a nap together. She always falls asleep on her side, facing me on my side, holding my hands. That alone is sweet! But, then, I woke up before her and stayed there, reading a book, until she woke up. Several times she opened her eyes, and once she asked me, "Gamma, what are you waiting for?" I answered that I was just waiting for her to be done sleeping. I asked her if she was, and she closed her eyes and drifted off again. When she did wake up, she didn't speak ... she simply snuggled into my arm for a while before getting out of bed. That simple little moment will fill my bucket for quite a while. <3

Doing good - but definitely not overdoing it. PT comes to house two days a week; I'm still limiting my activity; only working half days for the office. Today will be a long one. Fall classes began this week and I have to lecture tonight. Its gonna be a quick class

    Lou 2020!

    Good morning.
Good luck at the follow up.
    What a beautiful story lisa.
Best of luck to you Lou and the search continues.
    Safe travels Raine.
The city will be packed mary. Enjoy the Harley's.
Busy day here. Lots to do and I was up super early for me.
Going to walk over for s football game later tonight. Dinner with friends.
Oh, I've lost 3.2 in 2 weeks. Pretty happy.
    Make it a great day.

    Good Morning,
Lou, patience, it is quickly becoming an employees market and employers are beginning to compete for skilled folks; I would be out there but I'm on countdown 9 months 29 days.
Skip, hoping for you a GREAT report.
Safe travels Raine, Tom and HJ.
Dave, I could drink coffee from wood bowl; in fact remember when old folks would pour their coffee in bowl to cool a little when poured straight from stove.
Had to get on DMIL again last night; she keeps pulling up her pants saying her waist is the bottom of her bra. Cannot help it because she has a fat stomach. Pastor came by house last night and DMIL comes upstairs with her pants pulled up showing a cameltoe, NO ONE should have to see that on someone her age.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Happy Humping,
    Sam I am

Take care everyone! Have a great day!

    Morning BBB

Sam, wow. that's all on dmil LOL. Continued prayers for dw go out

Lisa, sweet heart warming reflection, thanks for sharing. She obviously is content and happy by her Glamma's side. Hope your dd and sil are working things out and doing well.

    WTG Kelly on the wl!

Bike wash and shine tonite, I'll keep SO company in garage while he works on that :)

I rode my bicycle for the second time this week. Also got my lab work back and thyroid hormone level is a bit out of wack, TSH creeping upwards, hmmm imagine that. Medication has been adjusted, again. sigh.

Lou - we're pulling for ya! Something is going to come along fit just for you!

    Good morning BBB.

Glad to see the gradual return to normalcy, Skip. Do everything they tell you to, and nothing more.

Spoke to soon about our cklear weather, yesterday, the pall of smoke from big fires in Oregon swept in before noon. We are in a cloud of smokey haze, now. It might not clear until the fall rains arrive, they say.

O\Loved the "small moments" story. I love being a grandparent, too.

    Good morning.

All I can recall is that Skip and Raine and traveling to see some sort of camel toe arts & crafts that Lisa did.

Day 2 of continuing ed today. Tax heavy. If you're playing WWF with me, please consider taking the day off work to keep me entertained. TIA.

Cecilia's plane just landed in Brasil, so I'm single until the 11th! Pants-optional dining is back!

I'm supposed to find out about the job at some point today. Fingers crossed that the other guy pooped himself (loudly and stinkily) during the interview.

Sam - thats a visual for sure.... Oi Vay!!!

Super visit w/ surgeon. X-rays show all the new hardware firmly in place. He removed the remaining 10 steri-strips and seemed most pleased with the progress warning me to still take it slow for another 4-6 weeks. Very pleased!

Quite a bucket moment, Lisa! Kudo's!

Lou - be sure to let us know....Good luck!

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Great news Skip. The Surgeon did tell you to keep the Jeep on the road, right?
    • I loved the story Lisa. Live in the moment and enjoy the little things.
    • Good job Kelly on the WL. I've been tracking for the last 2 weeks and seeing good results.

Mary, highly recommend reading "The Thyroid Connection" by Amy Myers MD if you have not already done so. Also liked "The Autoimmune Solution" which has lots in common with "The Thyroid Connection". Get from library because I can't see keeping book.

Skip "doc warning me to still take it slow for another 4-6 weeks." so your going to listen to him right!

Thanks for the books titles Sam, you just gave me a reason to visit my new hoods library again. I'll go on Sat morning!

Sorry Lou - you'll land something soon ! In the meantime, put some pants on to answer the door, at least, no?

Sorry Lou. Hope the next one is it. Being unemployed when you don't want to be sucks.

    Great news Skip.

Working in a store today and finally took a minute to get lunch. I accidentally left my healthy snack and bottles of water at the hotel. I what when I do that. Home tonight.

    Hang in there, Lou!

I'm interviewing for a personal assistant.

Mine disappeared/went off the grid some time ago

Mary: Of course, we ALWAYS follow Doc's advice  - I'm definitely keeping this pace for now (slow and steady). DW not happy she has to walk me and Mr. Cooper. Luckily, I don't crap in the neighbors lawn.... But there was this one time, at band camp......
