FTM and our little man is turning ONE in September. Everyone said that the time would go fast but man, it's crazy fast! We are planning a Mickey Mouse themed party with tons of food, swimming, and a pinata. OH, and trying to lose a few last minute pounds before then too! LOL (How much longer can I use childbirth as an excuse for my weight?! Hehe)
Anyone else planning a milestone birthday or had one already? What's your theme and what games did you play?

Don't worry I used childbirth as an excuse for weight gain even when my oldest was 8. I was in denial
I didn't do themed bday parties until my older child was 2 and that was a sports themed party, at 3 we did elmo, I did thomas the train one year and scooby doo another year. I have done pinatas, I did a pin the tail on the donkey except they use stickers now instead of pins, I also have done a craft table to keep the kids occupied until all guests arrived. Then there was the bounce house that was fun. My son is an October baby so most of his parties were confined indoors depending on weather and since he is close to halloween I did a halloween theme too and we painted small pumpkins. Now that he is turning 10 this year I now do haunted house bday parties those are fun.
My daughter will be 1 in Dec. and haven't thought of doing a party for her this year but they can be great fun if people rsvp and show up. I had a problem with that the year I did a bowling party for my son people showed up that didn't rsvp and ones who did rsvp did not show up. That can make parties frustrating. Anyways have fun and good luck.0 -
My son's first birthday is in the beginning of October. We're doing Monster's Inc theme and hoping to be down another 20-30 lbs by then!0
