Etta seems to have been hungry in the night, so I'm up. I wonder if we forgot to feed her last night? If so, I deserve to be woken up. She seems content now that she's had her breakfast.

The new meeting starts today ... yay! I hope we get a decent-sized group. But, if we don't, I know it will build in time. I remember one meeting that I started from the ground up. The first week we had 4, a couple months down the road we were getting around 10, but for the past few years it's usually around 50. They take some time, but they usually grow.

    I'm with Lou!

    Good Morning!

Lou, praying for success for you today! I know that you are getting close to a great job! I'm with Lou!

Lisa, you are going to rock your new meeting today.

Doc visit went well yesterday. BP back down to 120/84, which is good. Prescribed meloxicam for the arthritis symptoms, and told me to keep taking OTC glucosamine. Small dose Xanax, 1/2 before bed, and 1/2 before work. Xanax is for anxiety symptoms. Not doing the depression meds for now. I stopped those almost a year ago, and although have depression symptoms, controllable without meds. He said "full go" on the running, as long as I don't start out too fast. He said that would be the best med for depression, and I agree. I also need to lift weights regularly to help with joints and bone density.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning,
Hung hummingbird feeder from garage door open, now have several hummingbirds in garage trying to get out. Ceiling in garage is over 14 feet; DMIL more than likely slowly walked feeder from back deck to front garage. I don't think so because DW says she sits on front porch looking for Bob to ride by in his golf cart.
Think of interview with someone of Asian decent standing and bowing when one is wearing no pants on interview.
Lisa, it is your magnetic personality. Miss more than a couple of meetings and see how meeting drops off.
Supposedly cooler today and balance of week.
    Enjoy the Day,
    Sam I am

    Good Morning BBB.
Praying for everyone in Irma's path.
I'm giggling from Sam's visual of the interview - I'm with Lou.
Sam - you may want to move the hummingbird feeder from the garage door to a tree near the garage so you can lure them out. Or you maybe creating a colony.
Lisa - if you build it they will come.
Steve - sounds like a good doc visit and a wonderful and a great plan - less meds and running and weightlifting.
    Do good out there everyone.

    Good morning, folks.

When I was given my first WW meeting, it was to take over for a very popular leader who had 50+ at her meetings. She and the TM were oil and water because the TM drank *so much* of the Kool-aid that she couldn't handle that the leader wasn't following the official playbook to the letter. TM learned a hard lesson. They saw me and walked right out. The numbers dropped significantly before I could stabilize and regrow things. They never got back to the numbers Gail had though.

So, when you've finished crossing fingers for Lisa, you'll need to cross them for me. Two interviews today starting at 1PM. One on-site and the other by video conference. These are for the company that I interviewed with last Friday. I have to wear pants for the video conference because it's being done from their offices after the first interview. I suppose I could take my pants off for that call, but it could prove awkward if someone were to pass by the glass walled conference room.

And... In interesting news... the company that passed on me wants to talk again. The other guy accepted their offer and then his current employer countered and he elected to stay where he is. They found out yesterday morning and my phone rang in the afternoon. I may be going back to talk to them again tomorrow.

    I like your doctor, Steve.

    Good morning BBB.

Spent the day on a road trip with BW yesterday. It was pretty, but very smokey. Spare a thought for the Pacific Northwest. WE are far from the centers of population, and thus, news coverage, but we are burning up. The lastest is an aweful fire on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge. That is just one of the fires, though; hundreds of thousands of acres are in flames following the driest summer ever. As one who spwends as much time as possible hiking in our beautiful mountains and forests this destruction is liking losing old friends.

    Pulling for you Lou.

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • Sam, I agree with Raine, the feeder needs to be outside the garage.
    • I know you'll have a great meeting Lisa.
    • Good news from the Doc Steve.
    • Sending some rainy thoughts to the PNW David. I had to snicker about BW. Hmmm? Brave Wife?, Bitchy Woman? Best Westminster? Brothers Widow?
    • I'm with Lou, and it's looking good! Wear the pants.

    Morning gang.

Sitting on a plane in Chicago on the way to Kentucky. Meeting all of the district managers and our boss to walk the new prototype store as several other are moving to the new standard in October.

Best wishes on the interview Lou. Maybe you will get both offers and be able to decide which one is the best fit.

BW(?!) Of course I meant DW. Have no idea how my three-finger typing led that one (grinning)

    Hi, folks.

The interviews went well. The video link didn't work, so I totally could have done the second one pants-free!

    Good evening.
I forgot to check in yesterday. I got up early and didn't want the pressure of starting us off again. Ha.
Good luck Lou. Sure hope you get two offers.
I too was confused on the BW. Glad that's cleared up.
Lisa, I need to see your video.
I'm laughing over sam and his 1 bird which has now turned into several.
    Nothing new here.
    Have a great night!!

Oh my, as I read this thread, LOL, as I smile . Needed that.

Busy work day, and with some emotions on my seeve.
*Ds1 lost two car windows last night to a break-in. Sucks. Why do bad things happen to good people?
*DS's DDad (My Xh) wouldve have been 55 years old today, so that's always hard cuz I feel bad for our kids, and him too, of course.
*A big tobacco company is busting my balls over $25,000 discount that they surely can afford more than we can, and I need this order for first quarter next year.
    * we looked at a potential office warehouse property to rent this afternoon. It'll work if it had to. Moving is going to be a pita.
    * Sam, what they said on the feeder...look into also planting an attractor, they'll love it, and likely stay out of your garage. Dmil can watch those feeding on the flowers while she's waiting on Bob to come by.
    * Lou, maybe you can now up the ante on the call back who picked someone else the first time around? Good luck, wear pants.
    * sounds like a great Wellness Plan, Steve
    * praying for the fires in the PacNW to cease.
    * and that Irrma fizzles out.
    * and that Raine gets an good offer soon!

I'm off to work my resistance bands, good night all.
