On my kindle this morning not seeing the pic of the day will have to check it out later.
Woke up cranky hubby got up Fed the dog early usually the dog gets up with me or after I exercise today she woke me up early because someone threw her schedule out of wack. The only person lacking sleep is me as she kept me up last night and now got me up early. Hubby goes just skip exercising and sleep an extra hour. :# not an option I need the time to collect myself. Hubby has gone back to bed I swear I am going to kill him. Exercise is done.

Exercised?: Yes. Walked 5 Km in 38 mins (hills).
    Calories?: Yes.
    Tracked?: Yes.

Late walk today (busy work day). Moderate pace.

Nothing much to report from today.

@RangerRickL. Guilty of all of those (and many more "silly" things).
@2020pinktogo. Partner homicide is not an option :)

@cardio_enthusiast. When I put your numbers into a calculator, for 1 lb a week loss you should be at 1433 kCal per day. (Then optionally, add exercise on top of that). At 1700 kCal per day you should have reducing by at most 0.5lbs per week. (so 1500 kCal per day should be fine). This estimate is based on an age of 30. As you get older, your metabolism slows more.

(tracking calories outside a laboratory is more art than science, but its the best rough estimate we have - Don't get me started on how a calorie is not a calorie :) - Just remember, macros are important).

1500 kCal is safe (which was my major concern). You absolute low limit would be 950 kCal, but this is risking adverse metabolic adaption (which you do not want).

(btw, this is based on a daily average. It takes sustained excess deficit - a week or more - to start to impact metabolism. This is why intermittent fasting works without destroying metabolism. Among other things, it drops the weekly average).

The calculator I used was http://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/. It is a little complicated, but the best one I have found.

Sorry not been around since Saturday, it's been pretty hectic and stressful here.

@RangerRickL - I'm out of the winners circle for this month, my tracking/logging has totally gone to pot, so will begin fresh again next month.

I will still continue to log and post for the remainder of the month though.

The clocks go back a hour here at the weekend which is when I start to fail. My own clock seems to wind down and my motivation and determination go out the window. I'm not looking forward the cold, dark days ahead, but I have the UAC this year, so hopefully you'll all help to keep me on track through the winter months, lol.

    So...

    22nd Oct - Pass#3

    Exercised?: Yes
    Calories?: Yes.
    Tracked?: No

    23rd Oct - Pass#4

Exercised?: No - a first in a long time!
Calories?: Not Sure ( barely ate, so probably way under )
    Tracked?: No

    24th Oct -

    Exercised?: Yes
    Calories?: Yes.
    Tracked?: Yes.

Back on track today. Last meal of the day is logged, plus a snack for later in the evening.

Had a great run this morning, it's wet here but not cold, so made the run more enjoyable.
A very muddly walk with the woofies this afternoon and a bike ride planned for later too.

Can't post calorie burn and distance as my day is not yet over, and won't get chance to post again today, but it does feel great to be back on track - even if it's only been a few days, it seems odd now not posting on MFP and here at the UAC each day!

Was great reading all your NSV's for this month, keep up the good work everyone!

Lol, great piccie @RangerRickL - I think I've completed all of them on that list at one time or other, lol! :D

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? I didn't exercise as much as I would have liked, but did I exercise for 20 minutes, yea

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Actually did pretty well given I had little choice, and followed my goals of taking small portions, only eating until I was lightly full and not eating sweets. So again, I would have to say, yes.

Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, to the best of my ability.

Handed in my notice at work today. I used to really look forward to going but over the past few weeks, I haven’t felt that joy. It’s not the kind of job you can do half hearted so I’ve made a decision to leave. I’ve given 4 weeks as I really like the people I work with and don’t want to leave them on the high and dry coming up to busy season.

Exercise: yes, very active day. Did a bike ride and hill intervals. Then I did a couple of hours of heavy yard work! Yeah--I was able to dig out some of my gladiolus and plant bulbs. Afterwards, my neighbour and I did our walk. It was a good day:-)

    Calories: yes, I'm under

Tracking: yes, I tracked it all

Exercise yes wasn't too motivated so did the minimum both days so will have to step it up tomorrow (literally).
    Calories yes
    Tracked yes

Much colder here now, Trying to get used to it. It affects my motivation. I will have to kick it up a notch and get on the treadmill. I do really good when I make myself do it because it challenges me. Maybe taunts me would be a more accurate term. It says to me "just a few minutes more, You can't stop now until you finish the mile, if you stay on just a little more you'll burn more calories as the numbers flash in front of me. By the time I get off I'm a hot sweaty mess. Don't get me wrong I know it's good for me but if I am going to challenge myself I like enjoying the scenery and breathing fresh air.

@RangerRickL Sorry I missed the NSVs yesterday. My NSV is twofold. First a few days ago when I was doing some stretches I noticed I could easily touch the ground with my palms with my knees straight. Not only that but I could hold them on the ground for a while. It has been some time since I could do that, Additionally since I posted above about getting on the the treadmill tomorrow. I went upstairs and did a fairly quick mile tonight. For me NSVs
I'm really bad about the first one on the list for today's topic. I do it more times than I care to admit. I heard that if you remember after thinking about it it's not Alzheimer's. I usually remember before I go back to the room I came from. I call it brain overload. Well, at least that's my story.
