October 1
Exercised?: Yes. Walked 3.5 Km in 22 mins (hills).
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Lunch with friends today almost went over budget, but managed to stay strong.
Short walk today and a little slower than usual. Still a little tired from yesterdays half-marathon walk (did 22.5km in just a shade over 3 hrs. - 21.1km is an offical half marathon).
Daylight savings also started (so Summer is coming here in Australia). But I lost an hour would usually have. So getting the walk in before going out was a bit of a rush.
Special shout out to those who made circle for the first time this month.
Congratulations to all who made circle this month. Glad that @RangerRickL. included himself this time without prompting.
Congratulations too to all who kept going, even after the fourth pass day.
Goals for October:- Be in winners circle (track everything, keep under budget, 20+ mins exercise per day, no more than 3 pass days)
- Stay between 65kg and 75kg (full maintenance maintenance trying not to go too low but allow it to bounce up a bit too. Feeling fine under 70kg, but not sure if it is healthy sustainable. Trying to keep 75kg as my upper limit but still just in normal BMI range for me.)
- Stay honest (even if it puts me out of the circle for the month) and continue past failings (forgive mistakes and keep moving forward)
- Encourage others where possible
Ready for the new month here in Australia.9 -
Hi everyone!!! Sunday and today I took mom to the veggie man. Let's see I bought veggies. Mom bought chocolate covered raisins he sells them for a dollar a lb. And then she bought raspberry oatmeal cookies. You get to a certain age you stop arguing and let them get whatever they want. I just don't see where this was an emergency trip to the veggie man. Though the look on my dad's face was priceless when he saw all my veggies then he saw what mom bought he was so happy.LOL
Laundry done walk done even repacked my workout gear bag and this time only put in pants no capris. I put in mittens need to find a hat. This week starts where if it's raining we can walk the hallways at the school. I got the hall pass so we are all set. Walking outside I prefer but the school is not bad it just doesn't loop but loads of stairs.
My thought today was when I was a kid sneakers/tennis shoes only came in white ,black and red but cars came in every color under the sun. Today it is just the opposite I went to get my car serviced and all the new cars were red, white and black. Is it different where you live and just boring here in NY? I asked the dealer and his explanation was they go with what sells. My neighbor pants cars when my car gets junky I will have him do something fun.lol5 -
Evening all,
Congrats to all those who made Septembers winners circle - good luck for all of you for October.
I've lost 4lbs this month, bringing my weight to 9 stone 9lbs (135lbs).
My goal weight is 9 stone (126 pounds) - almost there now - a total of 22lbs lost since joining MFP and only 9 pounds left to go - woohoo, lol!
Goals for October:-
Lose another 4 lbs, slow and steady throughout the month.
Stay honest, take pass days as and when needed - there is no shame in doing so.
Encourage others when I can and comment if I have something relevant to add.
Take up swimming {not sure if I can do this one} (I lack the courage to go to the pool!)

October 1st
Exercised?: Yes.
Calories?: Yes.
Tracked?: Yes.
Used my daughters bike today for an evening ride, fed the ducks and swans down by the lake. Was faster tonight as well, not sure if that's the bike or me getting used to the route though, lol! Also clocked up 8 miles walking.
Weather is wet, I doubt we'll get many good days now autumn is upon us here in the UK. All the leaves are slowly starting to fall and a splash of orange, reds and browns greet you as you walk through the woodlands.
I saw two deer tonight, couldn't stop quick enough to get to my phone for a piccie, but they were beautiful and graceful. We don't see deer around here so to see them tonight was a rare treat.
Hoping to get my bike back on Thursday if the repairs have been done, so till then I can use my daughter's, although I do miss my own. Strange really, as a few months ago I would never have thought of going bike riding and now it's become part of my daily life.
Anyway, hope you've all had a fun Sunday, and ready to tackle the month ahead.
Good luck to everyone in the UAC, newbies and oldies alike - I wish you all the very best.
Warmest hugs..........xx6 -

plan
Welcome back @gus. You are inspirational.
I read that in the US October is the month that most people tend to weigh their least. We take our weight off with our active summer lifestyle. Then we let it start to creep the end of month and go into the holidays.
My plan is to not follow the trend!!

We're in Albuquerque for the weekend. My step son has designed a set for a play and this afternoon was the last show. I enjoyed the set, the play was not my cup of tea at all, it was about suicide…
Had a nice walk around UNM campus and we got to see his new apartment. Very boho chic. He's also been painting and I think he has art worthy or being shown in a gallery, he's very modest about it. He's painting in pastel and acrylic and has some really good work. I should have taken photos, I didn't.

The holiday temptation has begun. I can avoid the Halloween candy from making it to the register, but if someone offers some to me, it is hard to resist. Sweets, especially baked goods, are my weakness. Everything in moderation, right?5 -
Congrats to all who made the September winner's circle. Woohoo!! I still have not made the winner's circle. Sheesh!! My goal this month is to not get emotionally derailed. I worry too much about my grandchildren. My plan is to check in daily morning and night to help me focus.
Activity: looked after grandchildren for 6 hours today. A tough way to start the month but I hung in there. Barely.
