Barbell Row question

How did you guys learn the barbell row? I've watched videos but husband says that I keep "curling it" and that my elbows should go up towards my side, not up towards my back. I've learned all other lifts aside from OHP and barbell row from our gym, so I am trying to figure those out on my own. I have watched videos on the web but I still can't seem to get it right.

Are you doing Pendlay rows or barbell rows? They're slightly different as far as form goes. I'll post a Pendlay row form video when I get home, unless someone else posts first.

yes the elbows should be coming up to your sides. The row works the back as the main focus. Drop some weight off the bar if need be and practice focusing your back muscles in the movement.

If you have been watching vids and its not the weight causing you to fail the lift, i.e the movement with just the bar causes the same problem get your husband to correct you when you go through the movement so you can tell where its failing

    Good luck
