    Goals for week of 10/9:
    .
    1) No added sugars
    2) 5 hours of exercise total for the week.
    3) 2L water per day
    4) 5 servings of fruit and veggies daily
    5) 7-9 hours of sleep

    For 10/15, day 7/7:
    -- No added sugar: 7/7
-- Exercise: Nature walk. Saw 26 species of birds. :) Hours this week: 6
-- Water: 7/7 If I finish the one in front of me.
    -- Fruits & Vegetables: 4/7 Nope.
    -- Sleep: 3/7 Nope.

Another week gone... So I exercised 8 times in 7 days BUT not all were "workouts." I was moving a total of 6 hours but with elevated heart rate probably more like 1.5 hours. The recommendation of 30 min of exercise, 5 days a week is for actual exercise, not strolling. On the other hand, I made a mistake -- we're supposed to get 2.5 hours, not 5 hours. I mean, minimum. Anyhoo, I'm not going to be competing in an Ironman any time soon. At my work event Saturday I realized I have so far to go to build my endurance and strength. We had a park cleanup and I tried to put an old tire in the truck and couldn't lift it. I tried to just help lift an old, heavy TV and I was useless. @man_dee_gee I see you lift 3 times per week. I really should, my bf has a weight set right here, so it would be easy. I've just never liked lifting and I'm afraid of doing it wrong and hurting my back.

Sorry for the ramble. I'm awfully sleepy, long day at work! Tomorrow's my "Saturday" and I'm looking forward to it.

@cjsacto any movement is good movement I say! I don't think I get my minimums in either, but I'm definitely sitting around less. As for lifting, I really enjoy it. I hate cardio, unless I'm out hiking or something. Being on a treadmill or machine just loses my attention so quickly. Start slow, and build up. There are a lot of good YouTube videos to show you proper technique. I did P90X a few years ago and was in the best shape of my life, all with minimal "boring" cardio. Now hopefully I don't get lazy again this time around haha hope you have another successful week!
