Good Morning!
Not much here to report.
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning BBB.
Go Cubs Go!
Monthly training today - we are “learning” to drive the boats - high of 60 and drizzling - I wish Jack had thumbs. Plus, almost everyone on Task Force already knows how to drive the swift rescue boats (Zodiaks and skiffs). Ahoy! It will be fun in spite of the weather!
Do good out there everyone.0 -
Good Morning,
Hope Dave and Bob are feeling better as well as all others are doing good.
Lee, should be enjoying a day off.
Work will be better today, so far one has come in and one called out.
I had held up on beginning new class at gym waiting to see what new Silver Sneakers class was covering. DMIL reports they do the same as other except they they have them stand on one foot and swing the other. Reckon I'll get mobility class started; you would not believe number that cannot bend and touch their feet even sitting down or if they are in floor cannot get up without crawling over to something to pull up.
Continues record heat, where is fall?
Enjoy the Day,
Sam I am0 -
Good morning.
Glad you're in good shape sam and yes, it seems as if the most exercise many Americans get is from the tv to the fridge.
Not much to report here. Still painting the kitchen.
Dinner out with friends.
Raine, if dogs had thumbs they'd never need us anymore.
Make it a great day!0 -
Sam, I believe it. Remember my mom is 71 and in a nursing home. She hasn't stood up for about a decade, she's had heart attacks, strokes, open heart surgeries, and diabetes so advanced that she has dementia now, too. She can't even go to the bathroom, let alone put on shoes. I guess she really doesn't need shoes anymore, though.
I have a hair appointment this morning - looking forward to getting my roots updated. Then my regular WW meeting, then Bible study. I hope you all have a splendid day!0 -
Good morning BBB.
Fall is up here in the PNW, Sam. Snowing in the mountains; cool rain here in the lowlands.
The cold/sinus thing seems better, this morning. I should be able to make choir practice this evening.
Age is a funny thing. Some people my age (67) are in nursing homes, while I still feel pretty much "middle aged" rather than elderly. Heck, my mom will be 94 in a couple weeks, and she still lives on her own in the house where I grew up. I just thank God for the blessings of reasonable health I have enjoyed.0 -
Good Morning BBB
Today is the original Columbus Day
Enjoy the boats, baseball, dinner with friends, painting, hair appts, and life in general
Be well BBB0 -
It's not getting roots updated; it's changing shades of blonde, going from platinum to straw or light brown. Highlighting sounds more youthful.
I have a friend who is 93, will be 94 next month; volunteers at hospital twice a week, one day at food pantry, one day at Joseph's Coat and one day at church each week. In addition she cares for her younger sister who is 81 with issues. I really believe if we have the drive God will give us the strength. That said growing old is not for wussies. As Dr. said Tuesday, I was expected to be gone a few years ago. I am blessed.
Some of those working under me have parents younger than I am and in nursing homes.
Mary, my way of moving is to set box on floor rake everything into box; you are going to have to sort everything out when you get moved anyway and when I tried to have everything just so for move movers turned upside down.

Good morning.
My running buddy canceled on me this morning. Claims he rolled his ankle on the stairs last night. Dude. Rolling the ankle is MY THING. It's raining anyway, so I'm not too broken up over it.
I want the Cubs to go deep in the playoffs - don't really care if they win, just go deep. The city takes 9% of ticket sales as an amusement tax. So, by my reckoning, if the Cubs can host 88,000 playoff games, then the pension crisis for the city of Chicago will be all taken care of.0 -
9% - YGTBFKM?
Who said the mafia was not thriving in the modern era?

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Mary, can you mention Columbus on this platform without getting *kittened*? Poor man has gone from brave explorer to racist outlaw in a year.
- Good health is a blessing.
- Out running errands on the scooter yesterday and got stranded when it wouldn't start. I've been nursing an old battery for some time. Fortunately DW was shopping with friends in Athens (35 miles) and went to the Harley shop and got me a battery. All good, now I need tires.
- Got up early and went to Methodist Men's Breakfast at church. Member spoke about his work with Kairos Prison Ministries.
- Lunch today with community men's group.
- My social calendar is filling up.
- UPS is bring new stereo receiver today. That will be tomorrows project when I am NOT driving to the big city.
- I'm with Lou.
