    Bill, prayers for those affected by the fires north of you. Crazy that the media covers the antics of NFL players over the real news. I had no idea.

    Steve, I know you love running, but it seems like you sustain a lot of injuries from running.

    Yes, it is heck getting old. I have wondered why I start/stop/start/stop running off and on since 2005, and it is injury. Just as I seem to get going, then I hurt a calf, hip, or something. That's when I start thinking that maybe I should just walk, lift weights, and ride a stationary bike. I might be doing that again. It is just that when I do run, I get so many mental benefits from it! I don't get those same befits from the stationary bike, or even from being out on the lake in my kayak. Sigh....

    Bill, back in the 1980s, I was dating a woman that was working on her PhD in Japanese Philosophy. She was studying in Japan. She introduced me to moxibustion. I remember that being only one of a few things that really helped my low back. Think of it has acupuncture with concentrated heat, instead of needles. I think that I'd rather do that than cupping.

    Lots on the California fires on the news, here, Lee. Very little about kneeling players - except on social media. If the disaster is ignored in Conn., maybe it's an East Coast thing.

    Seem to have weathered the sinus thing. Getting out for a bunch of errands with DW, today.

    Morning. DD flew back to Bali again yesterday . Had gone to Bangkok when volcano threatened, but mostly because the earthquakes kept her awake. Where she's living in Bali is far from the mountain. They keep saying it will erupt at any moment, but it doesn't happen…

    Had frost last night here, mostly on car roofs.

    Steve. I get sidetracked by little injuries too. Have to tell myself to get back up on the horse.

    Good Morning. Walked yesterday for the first time in a week. Doing the same today and I hope to resume swimming next week. Put a liquid ant trap in a cabinet yesterday afternoon where I was seeing more than a few stray ants. This morning the trap is full of dead ants and every ant in the Alameda county has come into the cabinet. Gonna be a fun morning.

    Late to party. Woke up late recovering from my cold. 38° here and chilly. Hey Steve I hear ya. being outside is key for me. I walk with a buddy and ride my bike outdoors for that. Stationary biking just drives me bonkers too. Sorry about the fires in Northern California wine country etc.
