Are you a pusher or a puller?

My lifting partner and I were talking a few days ago about how differently we are progressing on Stronglifts. We think that this is because I am a pusher, and she is a puller.
As a pusher, I:
- Always have one more rep in me on bench or OHP
- Bench and OHP more than I can row
- Squat more than I can deadlift
As a puller, she:
- is deadlifting my body weight, which is not insignificant
- can row a full 30 lbs more than me, even though I can press more than her
Part of the fun of lifting with a partner is seeing how we progress so differently on the weights, yet we are both getting stronger and seeing changes in the mirror we really like.
Which one are you?

I just started Monday but am guessing I'll be a puller. I'm really dreading the OHP tonight.0

I'm definitely a much stronger puller than presser.0
-
I would say I'm a puller if my rows didn't suck so bad. My bench and rows are at the same weight, but my deadlift is 20-30 pounds more than my squats. If we were just going by preference of lifts, I would be a pusher. : )0

Pusher all the way!0

I am pretty good at pull-ups but my deadlifts are weak. I am a decent bencher but not much of a presser. So I guess I am neither.0
-
Hmmm. My squats are good, but I think my deadlifts are better. I don't know, interesting thought.0

I feel like I'm progressing with most lifts - OHP (slowly), bench, dl and rows. I'm just not seeing the progression with the squats. I think its the dodgy knees... So, at this stage, I'm not sure if I'm a puller or a pusher. I'm still finding my strenths and weaknesses!0

I am most def a pusher!!!0

I'm definitely a puller, my dead max is about 30kg above my squat max0
-
Hmmm. My OHP are my weakest. My max weight is 60# my Deadlifts max weight is 140#. But my Rows Max is only 70... The same max as my Squats. My BP are maxed at 65#.
So I am only a partial puller, I guess.0 -
Thanks everybody! This program has given me a new appreciation for how amazing the human body really is. We are all so different, yet so capable!0

my deadlift is much better than my squat, while my row has generally been better than my bench, but they're pretty even at the moment
OHP *cough* worst of the lot...
so I'd say puller... even though I actually like squat and bench press the most0 -
I can row a little more than I can bench, but I my squat is better than my deadlift. And proportionately, I think my OHP is my best lift, even though I struggle with it the most.

I would say im more of a puller, but I also think I dont progess as well on my upper body lifts as I do with lower.0

I'm definitely a puller in my lower body. My DL is almost 100lbs over my squat  My OHP is pretty sweet, but my bench sucks. Apparently my upper body is confused.0

Me too....0 -
Deadlifts & squats are where its at for me and rows feeling good the last time
Bench/OHP are just rubbish -
so I am a misfit as well :-)0 -
pusher!!!! i rock at all the pushing moves...and totally stink at all of the pulling. but i prefer the pulling moves...hmmm, that's sort of interesting actually. never noticed that before.0
