Yesterday, @oykucan reported her big success in that her new healthy habits have eliminated her need to take diabetes medications. This is great news for Oykucan and it's great news for each of us. When we implement and maintain the UAC healthy habits, you will prevent many diseases and add more zest to a longer life!

Restful day after work insanity. Slower walk, but 530m elevation gain (main climb is about the height of the Eiffel Tower).
I feel I have been a little slow on my strength work. Beet in a sort of maintenance mode, so time to re-introduce some more intensity.
Early walk planned before heat tomorrow, then flying.
@oykucan. Really well done. Here's hoping for a long, healthy and active life free from type-2 diabetes symptoms.

UAC does not ask people to be athletes, just remain active and be mindful of what they eat. They are simple habits. They do not take a lot of time (once established). But the benefits are extraordinary. Both physically and mentally.

Thanks for the well wishes. @RangerRickL @craigo3154 I am not diabetic (yet) just insulin resistant and I plan not to become one!

Had way too much caffeine yesterday. When your too strung out to sleep before midnight then get up at 5 and start cleaning and doing laundry you have too much caffeine buzzing through you. Today is Tea free day. I should crash right after the 6 o'clock news.2

Xmas shopping today. Lots of walking so ✔️ Ate a salad at Culver’s so that helped me stay under calories ✔️ and logged all ✔️2

yes X 3 - low impact aerobics 30 minutes and shoveling the sidewalk. Fortunately, it was not one of those heavy compacting snows this time. It was, actually, nice to be out in the fresh air for the short time it took to shovel a light snow.2

First day of winter break for this high school teacher, so I had a complex plan that required lying in bed or on the couch with a book. I kept craving all sorts of crunchy/salty/sweet things and nearly got off the couch to go to the supermarket or door dash something that I really didn't want. I knew there needed to be exercise in there somewhere, and I just kept putting it off. Then I thought about this group, wanting to be healthier, the support I find as we all work on being healthier together, and I got off the couch and did a butt-kicking circuit training DVD with no side trip to the market or take out. I feel SOOOO good right now! Thank you everyone for being on this list! It's good to not be doing this alone.7 -

Pass day #2 for me - got plenty of exercise and didn't eat too badly, but had too much wine. Didn't track. Not sure how it is going to be over the next couple of weeks with my guest and her dog. (Mine are being not too bad but as the visiting dog is so small and mine are big and bouncy they need watching all the time as could hurt her by accident.) So may not have any mental energy left for tracking!

Massive house cleaning before having our December family birthday party. My husband is still on bed rest so it was a bit of a stressful day but made it through with 3 yeses. ✅✅✅ I stayed under in calories but I will say after the week we had I saved most of the days calories for cak, ice cream and an adult beverage!2

I’m not sure if it’s the stress of family leaving or I’ve really picked up a bug, but I’ve been sick all day. Struggling to breathe, chills, sweats and my heat physically hurts when I touch it. I am rarely ill, so when I am, it’s like I have man flu, lol!
Dang it, out of the winners circle again!

Went to my parents shoveled out their walk and cleaned up the driveway. Came home early so I could knock off all the ice off the house and use the roof rake to pull off some of the snow. My goal is to not get on the roof this year to shovel.
My daughter changed her hair and from what I can see on my tiny flip phone. The color is closer to her real hair so can't wait to see it on Xmas. I do my best as a mom to keep my comments to myself . Sometimes my face gives me away. Lol2 -

@2020pinktogo I have two tone hair. The bottom is aubergine and I play around with the top. At the moment, it is a silvery/white with a lavender hue. Sounds odd but I love it and get comments all the time.
I was in JCP last week with my mum when a young girl tapped me on the back and said she loved my hair. I said Thankyou and then we heard her say ‘mom, that’s how I want my hair’, her mom replied ‘are you out of your mind?!’ Me and my mum both burst out laughing at her mom’s comments. It was a comical few minutes.
But yes, mum’s opinions mean a lot and even at 53, I want her to like my choices…1 -
